Together, we have laid the groundwork for drafting Kosovo’s first-ever capital markets legislation, unlocking the country’s vast economic potential.

Over 50 banking professionals just earned their certificates for completing GESI training in HR, Training of Trainers, and New Product Development! These trainings are a key part of the GESI (Gender Equity & Social Inclusion) Handbook launched last week, a major step toward fostering inclusivity and driving real change in Kosovo’s banking sector. 🎓💼

Through these programs, participants gained valuable skills to promote inclusivity and create a lasting positive impact in the industry. A significant step forward in advancing Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) in Kosovo's banking sector! 👏

Today, the GESI Handbook for Kosovo's banking sector was officially launched! This important initiative, led by the Shoqata e Bankave të Kosovës - Faqja zyrtare (Kosovo Banking Association) in partnership with USAID’s Investment Promotion and Access to Finance Activity, brought together industry leaders, experts, and banking professionals committed to fostering inclusivity, gender equality, and equal opportunities within the sector.

The GESI Handbook offers practical tools to help institutions create inclusive, gender-equitable policies, empowering women and underrepresented groups to succeed and lead in the banking industry.

A key highlight was the recognition of 51 professionals who completed comprehensive GESI training programs. These programs have equipped participants to lead inclusive initiatives, promote diversity in HR practices, and ensure financial products are accessible to all, advancing financial inclusion across Kosovo.

With the launch of the GESI Handbook and the knowledge gained from these training programs, banking professionals are now ready to lead change and contribute to a more inclusive financial system.
