Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Gerard McGurk, met with NDI Kosovo Director Ambassador Nancy Soderberg to take stock of our strong and growing partnership.

From supporting women's political leadership and expanding municipal-level engagement, to joint programming under the and initiatives, our organizations continue to combine strengths where it matters most for the benefit of the communities we serve.

Looking ahead, we're glad to be exploring new ground together too, including on youth engagement, media literacy, countering disinformation and the emerging challenges AI poses for democratic governance.

Over two days in Prishtina, NDI Kosovo was proud to host political party representatives from the Western Balkans for a regional dialogue on strengthening democratic governance and rebuilding public trust 🇽🇰 🇦🇱 🇧🇦 🇲🇰 🇷🇸 🇲🇪

Participants examined how parties can bridge the gap between political strategy and government practice, strengthen internal accountability, improve institutional performance, and deliver on citizens' expectations 🏛️📊

As trust in traditional political structures continues to evolve, a dedicated discussion focused on and what political parties can do to create more meaningful pathways for participation, leadership, and long-term engagement.

Through expert inputs, peer exchange, and interactive sessions, participants worked on practical approaches to strengthening party integrity, improving decision-making, and reinforcing the role of political parties as key drivers of democratic resilience💡🤝🌍

With a focus on public speaking and debate skills, this training session is helping participants in refining how they frame key issues, engage with differing views, and represent the interests of their communities with confidence and credibility.

Meaningful connections are often the driver of influence in diplomacy and public life 🔗

This idea shaped the Leadership Mentorship Program Speaker Series event Women, Authority and Diplomacy: Building Influence in Public Life, bringing together women leaders, diplomats, mentors, and emerging leaders to reflect on leadership, voice, and influence in public life.

Organized by NDI Kosovo with the support of the SDC, and in cooperation with the European Union in Kosovo, the evening featured reflections from Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, NDI's Senior Country Director, Eva Palatova, Acting Head of the EU in Kosovo, and Ambassador Lendita Haxhitasim, and was brought to life through the “Passport to Connections” networking activity 🌐, turning dialogue into meaningful exchange and new connections.
