Swiss EP Kosovo Swiss Entrepreneurship Program in Kosovo. Diaspora Involvement⁣⁣
• Activating and involving diaspora members as mentors, investors, and in the media.⁣⁣

The Swiss Entrepreneurship Albania is funded by SECO (Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) and implemented by Swisscontact. Swiss EP aims to build a strong entrepreneurship eco-system In Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Peru, Serbia and Vietnam, capable of supporting entrepreneurs in launching and growing their companies in order to create jobs.⁣⁣
Swiss EP includes

four main interventions:⁣⁣
1. Incubator & Accelerator Support⁣⁣
• Developing or enhancing a self-sustained business model for partner organizations.⁣⁣
• Developing, improving, or updating the services provided by the partner organizations ⁣⁣
(e.g. acceleration programs, methodology & approaches of training and curricula, etc.).⁣⁣
• Setting up seed funds within the partner organizations and stimulating fundraising of private funds ( Matching Grants).⁣⁣
2. Mentoring⁣⁣
• Enabling local organizations to set up and manage pools of local mentors.⁣⁣
• Training of local mentors and master mentors.⁣⁣
3. Angel Investments⁣⁣
• Activating and supporting Angel Networks.⁣⁣
• Workshops with Angel Investors.⁣⁣
• Stimulating private Investments ( Matching Grants).⁣⁣
4. Media Buzz⁣⁣
• Increasing publications on entrepreneurial topics and success stories.⁣⁣
Swiss EP includes two cross-cutting interventions which influence the main interventions:⁣⁣
1. Women Participation⁣⁣
• Increasing and enhancing women entrepreneurs and participation within the ecosystem.⁣⁣

🚀 Applications are now open for the Western Balkan Acceleration Program.
We are pleased to support this 14-week hybrid accelerator of Startup Wise Guys, supported by EBRD and Swiss EP, helping promising B2B startups in Kosovo and North Macedonia strengthen their growth journey and prepare for international scaling.
The program is open to startups with at least an MVP, early traction such as pilots, first customers or revenues, and strong potential to grow across markets. It is also open to teams planning to establish their startup in Kosovo or North Macedonia.
Focus areas include:
💻 SaaS & AI
🔐 Cybersecurity
🌱 Sustainability
🏦 Fintech
🧩 Digital solutions for industries such as health, logistics, manufacturing, mobility, and more
Selected startups will benefit from practical workshops, weekly 1:1 support, access to mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners, as well as hands-on guidance on go-to-market, fundraising, legal, sales, and scaling.
The program also offers the opportunity to be considered for investment from €50K, with follow-on potential up to €250K.

Last week, Pristina hosted a very exciting event—the Kosovo Startup Ecosystem Forum. On January 22 and 23, Tech Park Pristina hosted early-stage startups, investors, and key ecosystem stakeholders in Kosovo.

The first day was dedicated to founders. A series of hands-on workshops, training, and mentoring sessions aimed to prepare founders to scale their businesses beyond the early stages of development.

The second day was about aligning startup ecosystem actors. Ecosystem builders, support organizations, and partners gathered for an open dialogue to identify needs and gaps and to find a fitting way forward.

Throughout the Forum, a message stood out: collaboration is key to turning vast entrepreneurial potential across the country into sustainable growth.

We are very proud to be part of this initiative alongside Startup Wise Guys. But the true heroes are the local organizations that came together to make this gathering possible. Big shoutout to STIKK - Kosovo ICT Association, Venture UP, HiSpace, and Makerspace Innovation Center Prizren. Alongside resilient entrepreneurs, you are the true force behind the local startup ecosystem.

On January 22–23, 2026, in Tech Park Prishtina we are bringing together startups, investors, and ecosystem players in Pristina for the Kosovo Startup Ecosystem Forum. The first day will focus on startups, with workshops, training, mentorship, and investment readiness. The second day will bring ecosystem players together to exchange perspectives, share experiences, and discuss how the ecosystem can grow stronger through collaboration.

Sharing a few moments that reflect the energy, collaboration, and learning at the Diaspora & Founders Retreat—our first time bringing together the diaspora in this format.

This special event brought together four diaspora experts, including Kosove Arifaj, Kushtrim Xhakli, Anila Hyka Smorgrav, and Nur Mehmeti. These experts led discussions on key topics such as investment, growth, go-to-market strategies, sales, and product development, alongside 13 inspiring tech product founders.

Over two packed days, we hosted 51 one-on-one sessions where founders and experts exchanged ideas, refined strategies, and forged new partnerships. 💼💡
