Kosovo’s Digital Future: Insights, Skills and Opportunities
On 29 September 2026, at TechPark Prishtina, STIKK held the closing event of the project “Fostering Innovation and Sustainable Digital Growth in Kosovo."
The event brought together public institutions, ICT companies, vocational schools, development partners and other stakeholders to present the project’s achievements, discuss sustainability and strengthen cooperation between education and the private sector.
The programme opened with remarks from representatives of STIKK, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Kosovo.
A key session presented the Kosovo IT Barometer 2025, offering updated insights into Kosovo’s ICT sector and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The project delivered two editions of the IT Barometer, including a dedicated section on awareness and perceptions of Dual VET.
The panel “Making Dual VET Work for Kosovo’s ICT Sector” focused on stakeholder responsibilities, school-company coordination and the conditions needed to provide meaningful workplace learning.
Key project achievements include:
🔹 Two editions of the Kosovo IT Barometer
🔹 Awareness activities for vocational education and Dual VET
🔹 Two reviewed and adopted ICT occupational profiles, with curricula, learning materials and assessment instruments
🔹 Submission of the occupational standard for Graphic Design and Multimedia
🔹 Training and certification of 45 in-company instructors
🔹 Training of 20+ VET providers on accreditation requirements
🔹 Mentoring of six institutions and submission of six accreditation applications
🔹 New international cooperation and partnerships
Two initial school-company agreements were also signed between IAAP “Gjin Gazulli”, 3CIS and TENTON, supporting professional practice and workplace learning for students.
The event concluded with the certification of 45 trained in-company instructors.
