Meet our new member | Kaltrina Spahiu 🌸

Kaltrina is an architect, engineer, and researcher specializing in sustainable development, and currently serves as a teaching assistant at the Faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Prishtina.

She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering, with research focused on developing an innovative bio-based material for building façades aimed at improving energy performance and supporting sustainable construction. Her professional experience also spans architecture, spatial planning, urban development, and infrastructure projects.

As a Certified Building Energy Auditor, Kaltrina is committed to advancing energy efficiency, circular economy principles, and innovative solutions for more sustainable buildings and cities.

Women in Leadership: Interview with Rudina Heroi Puka 🌸

We are pleased to share an interview with Rudina Heroi Puka, the first woman appointed as Deputy Executive Director of KESCO and the highest-ranking woman in the company. Her appointment marks an important milestone for women’s leadership in Kosovo’s energy sector.

Under Rudina’s leadership, women represent 58% of KESCO’s workforce and hold 70% of managerial positions, reflecting the company’s commitment to greater gender equality and inclusive leadership.

Rudina’s journey is an inspiring example of women breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated sectors and helping shape a more inclusive and diverse energy future.

Our Zanfina 🌸 published the study “Creating an Investment-Grade Framework for Renewable Energy in Kosovo” through INDEP in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Kosovo.

Meet our new member | Andonita Buçinca Osaj 🌸

Andonita is an environmental researcher specializing in aquatic ecology, water quality assessment, and microplastic pollution, with experience in environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessments, and integrated water resources management in collaboration with national and international institutions.

She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Ecology from the University of Prishtina and is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Sciences, focusing on the occurrence and ecological effects of microplastics in freshwater ecosystems. She is also a licensed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) expert and has completed specialized international training in water quality monitoring and ecotoxicology. Through her research and professional work, Andonita is dedicated to advancing environmental protection and promoting sustainable water resource management.

Meet our new member | Elita Kurtaj 🌸

Elita is a Project Coordinator at Lindja Solar and a Business Development Consultant at CBRE. She supports the development of renewable energy projects, BESS, and onsite energy solutions for industrial clients across Europe and US Market. Through her work at Lindja Solar, she is contributing to the development of one of Kosovo’s largest solar energy projects and helping advance the country’s energy transition.

Prior to joining the private sector, Elita worked with international organizations including UNDP and UN Women, supporting initiatives related to sustainability, climate action, and economic development. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of York and is currently pursuing an MSc in Renewable Energy and Energy Transition at Heriot-Watt University.

Meet our new member | Dalina Krasniqi 🌸

Dalina Krasniqi is an Electrical Engineer at Bane NOR, Norway’s state-owned railway infrastructure company, where she specializes in electronic converters and works on complex electrical systems and practical engineering solutions.

She holds a Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), following her undergraduate studies at the Polytechnic University of Tirana. Throughout her career, she has gained experience across the energy sector, contributing to renewable energy projects at Ramboll and the oil and gas industry at Aker Solutions.

Passionate about supporting the next generation of energy professionals, Dalina also served for two years on the board of Young in Renewable (Ung i Fornybar), helping foster engagement and collaboration among young professionals in the renewable energy sector.
