Është mbajtur sot punëtoria për Të Drejtat e Njeriut, Qytetarinë Aktive dhe Vullnetarizmin me 36 pjesëmarrës e vullnetarë nga rajoni i Pejës në Shkollën e Mesme të Arteve Aplikative “Odhise Paskali” në bashkëpunim me Youth Innovation Center Peja (YICP).
Përgjatë punëtorisë, Gjylymser Nallbani përfituesja e programit International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) përmes mbështetjes së IVLP Impact Award të projektit “Youth for the City” mbajti një ligjëratë mbi angazhimin qytetar, pjesëmarrjen dhe vullnetarizmin e gjeneratave të reja, si dhe rolin e tyre për ndryshim në shoqëri.
Në pjesën e dytë të punëtorisë me pjesëmarrësit më shumë njohuri nga ekspert u ndanë në fushën e të drejtave të njeriut, përkatësisht duke i informuar ata mbi barazinë gjinore, sfidat e grupeve shoqërore me më pak privilegje, personat me aftësi të kufizuara dhe drejtësia klimatike. Përgjatë kësaj punëtorie, të rinjtë pjesëmarrës krijuan dy ide për murale të cilat do të realizohen përgjatë Festivalit “RrugëFest” gjatë ditëve në vijim. Muralet do të ekspozojnë problematikat që lidhen me të drejtat e njeriut, barazinë sociale dhe sfidat në komunitet, kështu duke ngritur vetëdijen e popullatës në çështjet specifike.

Financimi për projektin “Youth for the City” është siguruar nga Departamenti Amerikan i Shtetit Byroja e Çështjeve Arsimore dhe Kulturore me Meridian International Center si partner zbatues.

As part of the “Youth for the City” project within the “RrugeFest” Festival was held a workshop on Human Rights, Active Citizenship and Volunteerism with 36 participants and volunteers from the Region of Peja, at the Applied Arts High School "Odhise Paskali" in cooperation with Youth Innovation Center Peja (YICP).
During the workshop, Gjylymser Nallbani, alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) through the support of the IVLP Impact Award of the project "Youth for the City" delivered a lecture on civic engagement, participation and volunteering of new generations, as well as their role for change in society.
In the second part of the workshop with participants more knowledge from the experts were shared in the field of human rights, thus, informing them on gender equality, challenges of social groups with less privileges, persons with disabilities and climate justice. During this workshop, the participants created two ideas for murals which will be realized during the Festival "StreetFest" in the coming days. Murals will expose an issus that is tackling human rights, social justice and communites challenges, thus raising awarness of the general population on the specific issue.

Funding of the “Youth for the City” project is provided by the U.S. Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs with Meridian International Center as the implementing partner.

Call for application!

We invite all architecture enthusiasts to apply to be part of the BIM training, in which the principles of working with 'Building Information Modeling' will be learned!

The training will teach the participants how to use this program and they will have a vital asset for the labor market.

Call for application!

We are happy to announce the “Soft Skills Training”. This project aims to inform young people about soft skills.

This will be achieved through 6 weekly meetings discussing different topics connected to soft skills and self-reflection.

The training is open to all young people in the Peja region.

Today we had our final conference for YLM project.

During the conference first, the participants got informed about the project and they saw the final video of the project after that Adea, Jon, and Debora shared their experiences as interns.

For the Panel, we had guests from the municipality, the director for Culture, Youth, and Sports Mrs. Xhenet Syka, and the director for Municipal Work and Public Services Mr. Agron Nikqi. They were open to questions from young people and inspired them to be involved in decision-making.
