PIONEERING SOCIAL ENTERPRISES IN KOSOVO

From capacity building to enterprise formalization, CDSIP is becoming a concrete example of how community-driven innovation can generate lasting social and economic impact.

Through the Community-Driven Social Innovation Programme (CDSIP), we have helped create a structured and sustainable pathway for underrepresented groups to transform community needs into real social entrepreneurship initiatives.

Some of the key milestones achieved so far:
110 participants engaged through entrepreneurship and social enterprise training
5 general training sessions delivered
3 specialized workshops conducted for enterprise development
6 social enterprise ideas initially supported through the programme
5 social enterprises currently active in the formalization and licensing process, working in the areas of agro-products and handicrafts retail, natural cosmetics, environmental services and recycling, inclusive creative production, and elderly care services
2 social enterprises registered, licensed, and already supported through grant disbursement
2 additional requests currently under review by the Ministry committee
1 enterprise currently in the licensing application process
2 networking meetings organized to strengthen institutional dialogue and stakeholder support

Beyond the numbers, CDSIP has strengthened the capacities of beneficiaries, supported the formal establishment of social enterprises, encouraged cross-sector collaboration, and created new opportunities for women, youth, minority communities, and persons with disabilities to play an active role in inclusive local development.

We are proud of the progress achieved so far and grateful to all partners, institutions, experts, mentors, and beneficiary teams who have contributed to this journey.

🏆 Jakova Innovation Center përzgjidhet në mesin e 8 projekteve më të mira në Evropë për Çmimin CEB për Kohezion Social 2026

Me krenari të veçantë ju njoftojmë se projekti ynë Community-Driven Social Innovation Programme (CDSIP) është përzgjedhur zyrtarisht në listën e ngushtë të 8 projekteve më të mira në Evropë, nga gjithsej 177 aplikime nga 32 shtete, për Çmimin prestigjioz të Bankës për Zhvillim të Këshillit të Evropës (CEB) për Kohezion Social 2026.

Përmes CDSIP, Jakova Innovation Center po mbështetë gra, të rinj dhe komunitete të nën-përfaqësuara në zhvillimin e ideve të tyre dhe krijimin e ndërmarrjeve sociale, duke kontribuar drejtpërdrejt në krijimin e vendeve të punës, fuqizimin ekonomik dhe adresimin e sfidave sociale në komunitetin tonë.

Ky vlerësim ndërkombëtar përfaqëson një njohje të rëndësishme për punën dhe angazhimin tonë në ndërtimin e një ekosistemi të qëndrueshëm të ndërmarrësisë sociale në Kosovë, dhe një dëshmi se inovacioni i bazuar në komunitet mund të sjellë ndryshim real dhe të qëndrueshëm.

🙏 Falënderojmë sinqerisht të gjithë pjesëmarrësit, mentorët, partnerët dhe mbështetësit tanë, si dhe në veçanti projektin “Mbështetje për Shoqërinë Civile në Kosovë”, financuar nga Dukati i Madh i Luksemburgut dhe implementuar nga LuxDev - Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency, për besimin dhe mbështetjen e vazhdueshme në këtë rrugëtim.

📅 Fituesi do të shpallet më 16 mars 2026, në Varshavë.

Ky aktivitet realizohet me mbështetjen e projektit "Mbështetje për Shoqërinë Civile në Kosovë", financuar nga Dukati i Madh i Luksemburgut dhe implementuar nga LuxDev - Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency, Agjencia e Luksemburgut për Bashkëpunim Zhvillimor.

The CEB has shortlisted eight projects for the CEB Award for Social Cohesion 2026, highlighting inspiring initiatives that strengthen communities and support vulnerable people across Europe.

🚀 Exciting opportunity for high-impact innovative enterprises in Kosovo!

The Luxembourg Development Cooperation is delighted to launch a new call for proposals
aimed at Kosovar businesses .
The LuxAid Demonstration Fund targets pioneering digital and green innovations that address
societal challenges.

Open to well-established businesses, the fund offers co-financing ranging from EUR 100,000 to EUR 350,000.

You are warmly invited to apply if you are:

- an enterprise registered in Kosovo before 1 November 2022;
- proposing an innovative solution with solid revenues and proven societal impact;
- able to co-finance at least 50% of the project costs.
