Highlight of last week, was our meeting with EU on our Our Future Is Now Project, hosted by Samoa Conservation Society at their HQ in Sogi.

Our partners Samoa Women's Association of Growers and conservation Society shared on the progress of our OFIN project the meeting successfully ended with OFIN receiving $85,672.83 Euro to assist with the final phase of the project.

Today our President Leiu Silafau Sio joined the launch of Vailuutai Household Waste Segregation project, in Partnership with MNRE and Jprism III

SRWMA was successfully awarded the tender to carry out the Monitoring, Collection of recyclables, reporting and data collection for this project

Today our President Leiu Silafau hosted EU delegates at SRWMA HQ for a talanoa on our “Our Future Is Now” project in partnership with Samoa Conservation Society and Samoa Women's Association of Growers and our OFIN Youth group

Over the past year and a half this project has collected more then 5million single use plastics empowered 10 youth groups to run environmental projects within there communities and built capacity on sustainable packaging to tackle Plastic Pollution

During the visit we discussed the challenges we face, ways to strengthen partnerships, and ideas to scale up our impact for a cleaner greener Samoa.
