The Samoa Red Cross Society was proud to join our regional partners—including the Fiji Red Cross Society, New Caledonia Red Cross, and others—for a comprehensive one-week PIROPS/WASH Training in Fiji. 🚰💧

The Samoa Red Cross was represented by Ms. Sulusamoa Seti Tofilau, who actively participated in this vital capacity-building program.

Focused on strengthening practical skills in emergency water treatment, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), this training ensures our team is better equipped to provide safe, clean water to communities when disaster strikes.

We are deeply grateful to the Fiji Red Cross, New Caledonia Red Cross, organizers, and all partners for such a meaningful week of collaboration.

At the 5th Pacific Islands Roundtable on International Humanitarian Law [IHL], 12 Pacific states and 13 National Societies united to reinforce their shared commitment to upholding universal humanitarian principles across our region and globally. Our Secretary General, Mrs. Namulauulu Tautala Mauala, proudly represented the Samoa Red Cross Society as the secretariat of Samoa’s National IHL Committee.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) offices in Suva - Fiji, and Canberra - Australia, and the Australian Red Cross for hosting this important event and for their continued partnership, guidance, and support in strengthening National IHL capacity across our islands. Together, we ensure that even in times of crisis, humanity prevails.

Over the August 13th–15th matches, our Samoa Red Cross First Aid Volunteers were proud to be on standby, ensuring the safety and well-being of all players, officials, and spectators.
