It has been brought to our attention that a certain Power Armedman is asking many of you to become friends on Facebook.
We have no idea of who Power Armedman is.
We advise great caution before accepting his friend request.

To All Returned Missionaries of the Vanuatu Port Vila Mission,

Thank you to those who have enrolled in our mission directory in Member Tools. Sister Duquette and I appreciate the opportunity we have to keep in touch with you individually and collectively.

We are so grateful for the blessing we have had to be associated to all of you in the great missionary effort of the Church and miss the days of our mission.

For those who can attend, we would love to assemble and meet again with you all in a mission reunion which will be held as follows:

Date: Friday April 1st, 2022 (Friday of General Conference weekend)
Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Church building - 1150 West 400 South, OREM, Utah

It will be an evening of casual mingling and we propose a brief devotional to be held around 8:00 pm, to be followed by additional free time until the evening concludes.

An RSVP is not necessary but would help us better plan the evening.

We look forward to seeing you all again right before April's General Conference.

With great love and anticipation,

President Duquette

As we just returned home from our mission, some have asked if or when we would be invited to speak at church.

Our bishop gave us the assignment to speak in Sacrament meeting on Sunday August 8th at 12:00 PM.

For information, we meet in the Vineyard 10th ward of the Orem Utah Vineyard stake located at 1150 West 400 South, Orem, Utah.

We are looking forward to this opportunity to share with everyone some of our thoughts and feelings regarding our missionary service.

We held a special meeting earlier this week to say goodbye to our beloved missionaries.

Some of them also came to church this morning to bid us a final farewell.

Our hearts are full and we so much appreciated the privilege of serving with such wonderful and choice spirits of Heavenly Father.

To all missionaries, past present and future, young and old, we say thank you and we will forever love you.

To All,

We have been informed that travel arrangements for us to return home are now just about confirmed.

At the conclusion of our missionary service here in Vanuatu we feel like borrowing the words of Jacob: “…we conclude our service, declaring that we have done according to the best of our knowledge, by saying that the time has passed away with us, and also our mission passed away like as it were unto us a dream…” (adapted from Jacob 7:26).

We have experienced a few sleepless nights but so many rewarding days. We bring back in our luggage a deep love and appreciation for all the missionaries we have been blessed to know and serve with in Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands, for all members of the church who are so precious to us and for the people of these three countries who now occupy a special place in our heart.

We thank all of you for the love and support you have shown to us and our missionaries. The power of your prayers has been felt. We have stretched and grown alongside our missionaries.
Now we turn this wonderful work to the care of President and Sister Messick who have accepted the call to labor and serve in this great Vanuatu Port Vila mission. We know the mission is in good hands and will prosper well. The Lord remains present and in charge.

God bless each one of you.

President and Sister Duquette

He will be a great addition to the great work being done for the Lord.

It is 1:00 AM, we are at the airport saying goodbye to our seven last missionaries from Tonga.
We appreciate all the good they have done and the blessing they have been to our mission.
We are so grateful for this unexpected early morning direct repatriation flight which allows them to finally be reunited to their family.
Thank you for your service.
