🚧 Le Touch Blong Vanuatu – Big Progress on Site!

We’re excited to share some great news from the site today!

👉 3 x 20ft containers are now fully installed
👉 We have also secured the last containers needed for the project
👉 Next step: waiting for the crane truck to place them — and then all containers (8 x 40 » & 16 x 20 » containers) will be on site!

⚡ At the same time, we are expecting UNELCO to install the electricity meter next week.

Once power is connected, we will be able to start cutting and fitting out the containers and begin setting up the Food Court area

This is a major milestone for the project — things are moving fast now!

Very soon, Le Touch Blong Vanuatu will become a vibrant space where locals and visitors can enjoy:

Progress Update at Le Touch blong Vanuatu!

Great progress is happening on site! All the concrete posts are now completed and ready to receive the last containers that will form part of the Le Touch blong Vanuatu village.

This marks another important step forward in bringing this exciting space to life — a place where local food, crafts, music and the spirit of Vanuatu will come together for both locals and visitors.

Step by step, the vision is becoming reality.

Work is back in progress at Le Touch blong Vanuatu!

The first concrete posts for two additional 20-foot containers are now complete, marking another step forward in the development of this unique space celebrating local culture, food and creativity.

Many more posts still need to be built, but the foundation is now taking shape and the vision is slowly becoming reality.

Soon this place will bring together local artisans, a café, island food, music and a vibrant community atmosphere where locals and visitors can experience the true Touch blong Vanuatu.

Step by step… we are building something special.

Great news for our community!

All the containers for our upcoming food court and handicrafts area have now arrived!
We are officially entering the next phase: connecting, preparing and setting up the containers to create:

9 food stalls
24 handicraft stalls

This project will soon offer a vibrant space where local chefs, artisans and creators can showcase the incredible talent of Vanuatu.

Le Touch Blo Vanuatu is growing! 🌺🇻🇺

Last week, we received more containers from Ifira — another big step forward! 🙌
We’re now waiting for the last 2 x 40ft and 3 x 20ft containers to complete the installation of all the units generously donated by Kyowa and Textainers.

A huge tankyu tumas to everyone supporting this exciting project celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship, and culture! 💪🌴

🌺 A huge thank you to Charlotte Aigon and the team at C² Project Management! 🌺

Thanks to their amazing 3D design, we can now clearly visualize what Le Touch blong Vanuatu will look like — a container-based community hub created to relocate and support small entrepreneurs, chefs, and artisans affected by the December 17th earthquake.

👉 The site will host:
🍴 9 food stalls for local chefs
🍽️ 1 restaurant
🛍️ 8 Vanuatu Made shops for small entrepreneurs
🎨 24 stalls for artisans and artists

This 3D visualization really brings the project to life — showing a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable space that will play a key role in Port Vila’s recovery.

🚧✨ Le Touch blong Vanuatu – Construction Update 6 ✨🚧

The site is getting busier every week! 🙌
We are thrilled to share that Ifira Stevedoring has delivered more containers, bringing us to a total of 4 × 40ft and 2 × 20ft containers now on-site! 🎉

A big thank you to South Seas Cargo for their precious help in moving one of the 40ft containers onto its concrete posts 💪 and to the amazing Rotriga Trading team who continues preparing new concrete posts for the next deliveries.

We still have 4 more 40ft and 5 more 20ft containers to arrive — the site is coming to life step by step! 🚢

🌿 Great news as well — we’ve received the container of timber funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) Canada in the Pacific, allowing us to begin building the roofing and decking structures for the centre.

It’s another big week ahead as we continue transforming this vision into reality — a vibrant, resilient space for over 90 local small businesses, including artisans, women chefs, and Vanuatu-made product vendors. 🇻🇺💚
