The Australian Government, through the Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation (P4A) program, is pleased to continue its partnership with the Pacific Aviation Safety Office . The P4A program’s grant funding helps PASO’s member states with access to essential advice and technical assistance on regulatory oversight of civil aviation safety. We also look forward to working with PASO to build local inspector capacity so that PASO can continue to grow as a Pacific-led organisation.

PASO is excited to announce new additions to the 2026 funding grant from the Australian Government through the Partnership for Aviation (P4A) which is aimed at strengthening aviation safety and regulatory support across all our 10 Member States!

For the first time, this funding will support training Pacific Islanders to become aviation inspectors through our Pacific Inspectors Development Program (PIDP) growing our own regional pool of experts—something PASO has envisaged since day one!

The support from Australia enables PASO to continue our important work in:

🔹 Air operators
🔹 Air traffic services
🔹 Personnel licensing
🔹 Airworthiness
🔹 Maintenance organisations
… and so much more!

A huge thank you to Australia and the P4A Program for their continued commitment to our pacific vision of “Safer Pacific skies – Connected lives”
