🐾 Busy day at Sam’s Animal Welfare! 🐾
We had a big day today with 8 animals desexed, along with a number of other drop-in cases needing care.

It was great to have the old team back together, with Leanne helping by dropping dogs in for desexing, and Dr Leslyn and Sarah working alongside Dr Karin at the AVA clinic at livestock department at Tagabe.

A huge thank you to our amazing AVA volunteers – Samantha, Kristeva and Salman – for their hard work with cleaning and sterilising, which is such a vital part of every clinic day.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Lydia at AVA Animal Welfare for allowing Sam’s Animal Welfare to use the AVA clinic at the Livestock Department to carry out today’s surgeries.

Wonder what it’s like to set up a veterinary outreach? It’s akin to busy bees in a hive! Day 1 of Mele outreach kicked off today. Thank you to various local Mele mamas who sent over fresh fruits, juices and chilled water for the team.

In collaboration between AVA Animal Welfare and Sam’s Animal Welfare, a total of 8 animals were desexed on Wednesday at the AVA clinic near the Livestock department.
A big thank you to our Sam’s volunteers along with Lydia and David, who helped with collecting and transporting the animals on the day.
Kristeva , from the livestock department, assisted during the surgeries and received further guidance in dog castration techniques — helping to build local skills so this important work can continue into the future.
Together we are making a real difference for animal health and our communities. ❤️🐾
Healthy animals = healthy community
