A big thank you to the three students from Lagoon Youth Resilience at Erakor half rod who visited us today. As students who have studied the environement ,they came to learn ,share ideas,and gain knowledge and experience the will help them develop and strengthen their organisation.

We are greatful for the opportunity to share our experience and support young people who are working to make a positive diffrence in their communities and environment.

This morning,we visited and 431 Environmental voluntary network an organisation working to protect the environment ,especially mangroves.The visit had two main purposes:first ,to help the Mother of the family with her U200 asseignement at University of south pacific(USP) on climate resilience and the importance of the environment ,and second to learn from and support another organisation that needs help to grow and continue its environmental work.
We learned about the mangroves nurseries,where young mangrove plants are grown in plastic water bottles and watered everyday before being transplanted.We also learned about challenge such as crabs eating the roots and children damaging the young plants.😁📚🌱

One important message from the Mother was, "we plant today not for us ,but because we love who will come after us"
