Looking back over the last few weeks here at YWAM Pacific Waves, it’s been pretty full on — but it’s been really good to see all that has been happening.

We’ve been doing reading support in local schools, had a high school group come and help complete a water tank for a village, giving them more water for the village and school.

We’ve run sports clinics, had speakers come and encourage the young people, and took part in an open day to share with schools about what we do.

Our teams have also been out around the local area, meeting people, sharing, praying and seeing God answer prayers. 🙏

We’ve been fundraising and getting ready for our international outreach, and we welcome our next DTS school as they start lectures this week.

There’s a lot happening, and we’re thankful for every person who has helped make these things possible.

If you’d like to be part of what’s happening here in Vanuatu, get in touch, pray for us, or consider joining us for a future outreach or DTS. We’d love to have you be part of it! 🌴🌊

Today we’re cooking Bunia! 🌴🔥

Bunia is a traditional Vanuatu way of cooking food underground using hot stones, creating a feast of meat, island vegetables and coconut cream 🇻🇺❤️

🌈 After the rain comes beauty. What a beautiful rainbow over our base! 🌴🌊

We’re grateful for every moment, every person and every opportunity to see God at work here in the Pacific. 💙

DTS OUTREACH HAS BEGUN! 🌊🏉🇻🇺

Last night at Onesua College Youth Night, our YWAM Pacific Waves DTS (Rugby and island dance Discipleship Training School) team kicked off their outreach!

Pacific island dance, testimonies, sharing how lives have been changed, prayer and lots of fun! 🙌🏽

A big thank you to Onesua College for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to share with the students. 💙

And this is just the beginning… We’re excited to see what happens over the coming weeks.

Let the outreach begin! 🌊

What a blessing to welcome the boys from ATC College Brisbane to Vanuatu! 🇻🇺🇦🇺

These boys are getting involved in practical work, helping repair a damaged water tank, while also learning about Vanuatu culture, building friendships and sharing life together.

It’s so encouraging to see young people learning through serving, working together and building cross-cultural friendships. 💙🌴

Welcome to Vanuatu, boys! We’re so glad to have you here!

Let every thing that has breath give our God praise

This week we began our Reader Support Program in a local school.

In just three sessions, our new friend Carlo was so excited to read his first words! 📚

For us as YWAM, this is about more than teaching children to read. We believe every child is created by God, has value and purpose, and deserves the opportunity to develop the gifts and abilities God has given them.

Seeing Carlo’s excitement after reading his first words reminded us why this matters.

Education opens doors we want to see those doors open to the whole person — mind, heart and future.
