π A huge thank you to our community π
Last weekend, we faced a very challenging situation when we had a seriously unwell dive patient requiring urgent treatment for decompression sickness.
As anyone involved in dive medicine knows, a patient requiring oxygen can use a significant amount, and our oxygen supplies were quickly running low.
When we needed help, our community stepped up.
Northern Provincial Hospital, Santo, Vanuatu provided us with their last available oxygen bottle, and Paul from Aore Adventures Sports & Lodge and Jack from Pacific Dive also generously supplied oxygen when we were running short.
Thanks to everyone who helped, our patient was able to receive the oxygen they desperately needed while arrangements were made for transfer to Port Vila for further care.
We are incredibly grateful to the hospital, Paul, Jack, and everyone who supported us during what was a very stressful time. It is moments like these that remind us just how important our community is β people putting aside everything else to help when it truly matters. ππ
Thank you for stepping up when we needed you most. We are so very grateful.
