Founded in 2016 Let’s Hue - Local buddies started with a small group of undergraduates and graduates.

The team are from different backgrounds, but all have the follows in common: big love for Hue city, voluntarism spirit and English competency. Based in Hue and knowledgeable of the city, Let’s Hue Free Tour Guides hold a strong belief that the team can give tourists a deep insight into Vietnamese culture, namely Hue culture, our country’s citadel.

Food Tour Summary: 31st of July

Today, I had the pleasure of guiding a lovely family of six on a food tour in Hue. During the tour, we tasted some of the city’s most famous local specialties, including Bún Hến (clam noodle), Bún Bò Huế (Hue spicy beef noodle soup), and traditional Huế sweet soups (chè). Everyone enjoyed the authentic flavors and learned about the history and culture behind each dish. It was a wonderful experience sharing Hue’s rich culinary heritage with such a friendly family. I hope they had a memorable time and will visit Hue again in the future!

July 27th, 2026 – Uyên Uyên

Today’s tour took place at the Citadel as usual, with a special visitor from India. The hot, sunny weather made the view around the Citadel more beautiful than ever. We took our time exploring almost every corner of the ancient complex while enjoying its beauty and grandeur. Since the weather was quite hot, we stopped for some ice cream before continuing our journey, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

During the tour, we talked about Vietnamese culture, food, and interesting facts about the Nguyen Dynasty. The guest showed great interest in Vietnamese history and listened attentively as we discussed the architectural design of the Citadel and its cultural and historical significance. She not only learned about the stories and events of the past but also experienced the timeless beauty of this remarkable heritage site firsthand. She especially enjoyed taking photos and captured many beautiful moments of the traditional architecture and peaceful surroundings. The visit ended with a deep appreciation for Hue’s rich history and unforgettable charm.

Today I had the pleasure of guiding a lovely English couple through the Imperial City of Huế, one of Vietnam’s most remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Together, we explored the fascinating history of the Nguyễn Dynasty, walked through the majestic Ngọ Môn Gate, admired the elegance of Thái Hòa Palace, and discovered how the imperial family once lived within these ancient walls. It was a wonderful opportunity to share not only historical facts but also the cultural values, traditions, and stories that make Huế such a unique destination.

The weather made the experience even more enjoyable. It was pleasantly cool, with a light sun shower now and then, creating a peaceful atmosphere and adding a special charm to the ancient citadel. Walking through the historic grounds while listening to the gentle sound of the rain made the visit feel even more memorable.

Today, I had the opportunity to guide three visitors from Denmark and Colombia on a tour of the Imperial City of Huế. Throughout the visit, we explored the rich history of the Nguyễn Dynasty and discussed many fascinating stories hidden behind the walls of the Imperial City. I shared historical facts, royal traditions, and lesser-known anecdotes that helped bring the heritage site to life.
The tour was more than just a historical journey. It became a meaningful cultural exchange where we shared our perspectives, asked questions, and learned from one another. We laughed together, enjoyed engaging conversations, and experienced a wide range of emotions as we discovered the beauty and legacy of Huế’s royal heritage.
Overall, the tour was an unforgettable experience that strengthened my confidence in communicating with international visitors while allowing me to share the history and culture of my hometown with people from different parts of the world.
