Voọc gáy trắng (Trachypithecus hatinhensis, Dao 1970) là một trong những loài linh trưởng nguy cấp cần ưu tiên bảo tồn. u chí xác định loài và chế độ quản lý loài thuộc Danh mục loài nguy cấp, quý, hiếm được ưu tiên bảo vệ và thuộc nhóm IB: Động vật rừng cấm khai thác, sử dụng vì mục đích thương mại trong Nghị định 06/2019/NĐ-CP của Chính phủ trong khi đó loài này được xếp vào phụ lục Ib- các loài bị đe doạ tuyệt chủng và có thể bị ảnh hưởng do thương mại trong Công ước CITES. Voọc gáy trắng là loài đặc hữu của khu vực miền Trung Việt Nam và Lào. Ở Việt Nam loài này chỉ phân bố giới hạn tại 2 tỉnh Quảng Bình (huyện Tuyên Hóa, Minh Hóa, Bố Trạch và Quảng Ninh) và Quảng Trị.

The Hatinh langur (Trachypithecus hatinhensis, Dao 1970) belonging to the sub-family (Colobinae), Primates order, is an endangered primate and a priority species for conservation. It has been listed as critically endangered (CR) in Vietnam Red Book (2007) and endangered (EN) in IUCN red list (2020). The endangerment of the species is also confirmed in the legal documents in Vietnam. Specifically, the Hatinh langur belongs to group IB of Decree No. 06/2019/ND-CP of the Government dated January 22, 2019 on the management of endangered, precious, and rare wild plants and animals and the implementation of the convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Decree No. 64/2019/ND-CP of the Government on criteria for species identification and management regime of species on the list of endangered, precious, rare and protection prioritized species. In addition, this species is listed in Annex Ib – species threatened with extinction and may be affected by trade in CITES . The Hatinh langur is an endemic to central regions of Vietnam and Laos.
