This handsome, lovable boy needs a new forever home, and we’d love your help finding it! 💛

Jax is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing in at over 80 lbs of pure love. He has grown up alongside young children, but with three little ones under five and two other dogs at home, his family is overwhelmed. They’ve reached out to NYSRR for help finding Jax the perfect new home.

🐾 MEET RIPLEY! 🐾

Ripley's story starts with a hero. 💙

A caring Animal Control Officer met Ripley and his siblings and simply couldn't let fate decide their future — so she reached out to rescue, and we said YES without hesitation. Mom was a sweet-souled Louisiana mix, dad was pretty darn close to a pure Lab, and together? They created six of the most loving, social puppies you've ever met. 🐕

Ripley was an instant hit in his foster home — the favorite of the kids AND the adults, thanks to his gentle, easy demeanor. He's been raised alongside other dogs, foster children, and exchange students and has loved every single one of them. 🥺

But now Ripley needs his forever home more urgently than ever. His beloved foster child — the little one pictured with him — was badly injured and is currently at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. 🙏 Please keep this sweet family in your prayers.

This handsome 2-year-old was born for greatness — and we think his greatest chapter is still ahead. 🏡
Ramsey was originally purchased to train as a cadaver dog, but time slipped away and this sweet boy went from living inside with his family to spending more and more time alone in an outdoor kennel run. That just wasn’t the life he deserved — so he was surrendered to rescue, and honestly? We think fate had better plans for him. 💙
Since coming into rescue, Ramsey has been rediscovering how amazing life can be — and he is HERE for it!

JAX is a handsome 4-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix, born April 17, 2022, tipping the scales at a lovable 80 pounds. He’s neutered, housebroken, up to date on all preventatives, and has spent his whole life surrounded by kids and another dog. He is, at his core, a sweetheart — and NYSRR is helping his family find him the perfect new home. ❤️

💛 A note about JAX’s situation:
JAX is not an NYSRR rescue dog — he is deeply loved by his family. But with a newborn, two toddlers, and two dogs, life has become genuinely overwhelming, and they’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to find him a home that can give him the time, space, and training he deserves. JAX isn’t going anywhere until the perfect fit is found. This family will wait for the right match. 💛

Spot a dog across the street on a walk? JAX has opinions about that. None of this is his fault — it’s simply training that never happened. And with the right family, it’s absolutely fixable! 💪

JAX’s dream home includes:
