Our Story
Design Capital Asia is community benefit non-profit organization serving local and global communities by engaging, empowering, and addressing social, health, economic, and education challenges and injustices faced by disadvantaged communities and at-risk populations. To date, we have empowered and trained over 600 youths to become Peer Health Educators who have delivered health education in sexual health education, sanitation, and to***co control and prevention to 73,000 students and youths coming 77 schools, 8 universities, 8 orphanages, and 33 at-risk communities. Additionally, our youths take the initiative to mobilize their schools and communities around environmental issues and activities to do coastal cleanup and gardening to create more green spaces. Social and economic development parallels our youth and community empowerment work. Since 2015, we have made necessary capital and business skills development accessible to entrepreneurs whose businesses have experienced tremendous growth from 26% to as high as 88%. These social entrepreneurs have trained 379 people through onsite business vocational training. After completing training, 90% these trainees found employment. Finally, we, together with our entrepreneurs, have added 311 full-time jobs, 42 part-time jobs, and distributed products made by the businesses total to $326,414 to the impoverished families and communities.
