IOSH Managing Safely course
The seven modules generally cover the following key areas:
1. Introducing Managing Safely: Outlines why managing safety is important, including its financial, moral, and legal implications.
2. Assessing Risks: Covers risk assessment principles and how to conduct them effectively in the workplace
3. Controlling Risks: Focuses on identifying hazards, choosing appropriate risk controls, and applying the hierarchy of control.
4. Understanding Your Responsibilities: Details legal requirements and the key components of a health and safety management system.
5. Identifying Hazards: Deals with common workplace hazards and how to manage them, such as slips, trips, manual handling, and stress
6. Investigating Incidents: Explains why investigations are necessary, how to determine the causes of incidents, and how to conduct effective investigations.
7. Measuring Performance: Addresses how to measure performance using both active and reactive measures and conduct health and safety audits.
