📍EuroCham joined the Europe Day celebrations in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the anniversary of the 1950 Schuman Declaration. Organised by the EU Delegation to Vietnam, the event highlighted the strong partnership between Team Europe and the European business community in Vietnam, while reaffirming Europe’s long-term commitment to cooperation and shared progress with Vietnam.

🤝The event welcomed Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, EU Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Julien Guerrier, representatives of EU Member State diplomatic missions, and delegates from European Business Associations. Joining the celebration for EuroCham were Vice-Chair Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Board Members André de Jong and Dinh Nguyen, alongside EuroCham team led by Executive Director Delphine Rousselet.

📍On 14 May, the Construction Sector Committee - EuroCham Vietnam, in collaboration with the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU), successfully hosted the Tall Building Forum 2026 at Landmark 81, Ho Chi Minh City - bringing together more than 200 government representatives, architects, engineers, urban planners, and leaders from real estate, finance, and business sectors.

🌱 Throughout the forum, one message stood out clearly: the future of Vietnam’s cities is not simply about building taller, but also about building smarter, greener, and more people-centric urban environments.

From 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁-𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗧𝗢𝗗) and 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, and 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, the discussions explored how Vietnam can shape a uniquely local approach to vertical urbanism while learning from global best practices.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺:
🏙️ Tall buildings must evolve from isolated towers into integrated “vertical communities”
🚉 TOD will play a critical role in reducing congestion and shaping more livable cities
🌱 Sustainability is no longer a premium feature - it must become the baseline
🤝 Public-private dialogue remains essential to support Vietnam’s urban transformation
🌏 Vietnam has the opportunity to create its own urban identity rather than replicating global skylines
