Magandang araw po sa ating lahat!

Kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat pagkakataong maitalaga bilang bagong set ng mga opisyal ng SAPI. Ang aming buong pangkat ay handang maglingkod, makinig, at kumilos para sa kapakanan ng lahat ng mga Pilipino dito sa Vietnam.

Bilang inyong mga bagong opisyal, ipinapangako namin na aming gagampanan ang aming mga tungkulin nang may dedikasyon, integridad, at malasakit. Nais naming palakasin ang pagkakaisa ng ating komunidad, suportahan ang bawat isa, at magbigay ng mga programang makakatulong sa ating mga kababayan.

Ang SAPI ay hindi lamang organisasyon, kundi isang pamilya. Sa tulong ng bawat isa, mas mapapalawak natin ang ating mga adhikain at mas mapapalakas ang ating boses bilang mga Pilipino sa Vietnam.

Kami ay narito upang maglingkod. Ang inyong mga mungkahi, opinyon, at mga pangangailangan ay mahalaga sa amin. Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang pagkakaisa, paggalang, at malasakit sa ating komunidad.

📢 IMPORTANT ADVISORY FOR FILIPINO WORKERS IN VIETNAM

Starting 10 September 2026, Decree No. 283/2026/ND-CP will strengthen protections for foreign workers in Viet Nam and impose fines and remedial measures on employers for labor violations.

Key violations covered include:
• Unlawful or missing labor contracts
• Retention of employees’ personal documents, diplomas, or certificates
• Abuse of probationary periods
• Labor contract violations, including forced labor and sexual harassment
• Termination without proper advance notice
• Non-payment of benefits and social insurance after contract termination

🇵🇭 The Philippine Embassy in Viet Nam reminds all Filipinos working in Viet Nam to know, understand, and protect their rights and benefits under the new decree.

READ || NEW PENALTIES FOR FOREIGN WORKERS IN VIETNAM

Starting September 10, 2026, Vietnam will introduce stricter penalties for foreign worker violations under Decree 283/2026/NĐ-CP.

✅FOREIGN WORKERS

Foreigners may be fined 15–25 million VND for:

• Working without a required work permit
• Working without a required work permit exemption
• Continuing to work after a permit or exemption expires

Depending on the violation, deportation may also apply.

✅EMPLOYERS

Employers may face:

• 1–3 million VND for missing, late or incomplete required notifications.

• 5–10 million VND per worker if the employee’s position, workplace or working conditions do not match their permit/exemption, or required documents are not returned. Maximum: 75 million VND.

• Hiring foreigners without valid permits/exemptions:

* 1–10 workers: 30–45 million VND
* 11–20 workers: 45–60 million VND
* 21+ workers: 60–75 million VND

• 40–60 million VND for altering, falsifying or using fraudulent documents in permit or exemption applications when it does not constitute a criminal offence.

⚠️ These fine levels apply to individuals. Organizations may face double the applicable amount.

Foreign workers and employers should check that permits are valid and that the actual job, position and workplace match the approved information.

READ || SAPI Election Updates and List of Candidates

Mga ka-SAPI,

First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the SAPI leadership nomination process. We are especially grateful to all the candidates who accepted their nominations and expressed their willingness to serve, lead, and contribute to the Filipino community through SAPI.

For the upcoming SAPI Leadership Term 2027–2029, a total of 17 candidates were nominated and accepted.

Of the 17 candidates, three (3) candidates have expressed their preference not to participate in the Officers’ voting process, as they have chosen to be considered for service as part of the SAPI Board of Directors.

With this development, the SAPI Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will not conduct a general online election for the SAPI Officers. Instead, the 14 remaining candidates will be confirmed as the candidates for the SAPI Officers for the 2027–2029 term.

Following this announcement, the SAPI COMELEC will arrange an internal voting process among the 14 confirmed candidates to determine the respective officer positions for the upcoming term.

This process is intended to promote unity, fairness, transparency, and cooperation among the incoming leadership team while ensuring that each position is filled by candidates who are willing and committed to serving the SAPI community.

We will provide further details regarding the internal voting process, including the schedule, procedures, and other relevant information, in due course.

Once again, we sincerely thank all the nominees, candidates, officers, members, and the entire SAPI community for your continued support and commitment to our organization.

Together, let us continue to build a stronger, united, and more inclusive SAPI community.

📢 SAPI Election Update

The nomination period for the SAPI Election is officially closed.

We are now in the process of confirming all nominated individuals. Once all confirmations have been received, we will move forward with the next phase of the election process.

The official list of confirmed candidates will be announced soon. Stay tuned for further updates and important election dates.
