GBA โ€“ the GERMAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION โ€“ has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam. Today, GBA has over 350 members, a reflection of the opportunities a

nd dynamics of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a highly respected counterpart in the local community. In addition, GBA was one of the founding members of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents the pan-European activities and interests in Vietnam. ๐Ÿ“Œ On 11 June 2026, ITPC, HASI and the German Business Association - GBA successfully co-organized the Germanโ€“Vietnamese Business Forum 2026: Circular Economy in Manufacturing. The forum brought together nearly 200 representatives from government agencies, business associations, industry experts, and leading German and Vietnamese enterprises to discuss how circular economy principles, digital transformation, and sustainable manufacturing can strengthen industrial competitiveness in the context of the global green transition.

๐Ÿ’ก The event featured valuable insights from distinguished speakers, including:

โ€ฃ Mr. Alexander Ziehe, GBA Chairman & Vice President Southeast Asia of Hettich Group

Opening the forum, Ms. Andrea Sรผhl emphasized: โ€œThe circular economy is not only an environmental solution but also a strategy to strengthen competitiveness and resilience in an increasingly volatile global supply chain environment.โ€

โœจ The forum also highlighted the growing importance of sustainable supply chains, technology transfer, and workforce development. As noted by Mr. Alexander Ziehe ้ฝๅฎ‰็คผ: โ€œVietnam, particularly Ho Chi Minh City, has a unique opportunity to integrate circular economy principles into its next phase of industrial development. Strengthening sustainable supply chains, upgrading local supplier capabilities, investing in workforce development, and accelerating technology transfer will enable Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in global value chains.โ€

The event reaffirmed the strong potential of Germanโ€“Vietnamese cooperation in advancing green transformation, sustainable manufacturing, and industrial competitiveness for the future.
