The P.A.S.S method is a simple four-step technique used to operate a fire extinguisher effectively:
P – Pull the pin to unlock the extinguisher.
A – Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, not the flames.
S – Squeeze the handle to release the extinguishing agent.
S – Sweep the nozzle from side to side at the base of the fire until it is fully extinguished.
This technique ensures efficient fire suppression and helps prevent reignition.
