On Monday, 6 April 2026, GGSC Co-Chair Jonathan Sourintha joined an introductory in-person meeting with the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) to explore potential collaboration synergies for 2026.

🍀 Representing EuroCham Vietnam and the Green Growth Sector Committee - EuroCham Vietnam, Jonathan Sourintha engaged with ITPC to identify how European business expertise can align with Ho Chi Minh City's growing sustainability agenda — reinforcing GGSC's deep commitment to advancing Vietnam's green transition through strengthened private-public partnerships.

This engagement reflects key focus areas at the heart of GGSC's 2026 agenda:

1️⃣ Private-Public Partnerships: Fostering meaningful dialogue between European businesses and Vietnamese institutions to co-create green solutions.

💡 Unveiled at the EU-Vietnam Global Gateway Business and Investment Forum, the EuroCham WhiteBook 2026, presented by Mr. Bruno Jaspaert to H.E. Tran Quoc Phuong, Vice Minister of Finance, in presence of H.E Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam and H.E. Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, marks an important milestone in strengthening EU–Vietnam cooperation.

🌍 This year’s edition, “Reform & Uplift: A New Era for Vietnam in the Global Economy,” highlights actionable policy recommendations grounded in business realities. GGSC’s chapters emphasise:

✔ Accelerating the energy transition
✔ Enhancing energy efficiency frameworks
✔ Advancing Vietnam’s green growth agenda through sustainable infrastructure and extended producer responsibility

📌 GGSC looks forward to engaging with Vietnamese authorities and stakeholders to translate these recommendations into practical, impactful solutions.

⚡ Green Growth Sector Committee - EuroCham Vietnam (GGSC) was pleased to contribute to the discussions at The Solar Week Vietnam 2026 on March 12, where Mr. Tan Hung Bui, Head of the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) Sub-Working Group, delivered a keynote presentation on:

🌟 During the session, Mr. Hung shared insights on how Vietnam’s evolving DPPA framework can help unlock new opportunities for utility-scale and floating solar projects, while strengthening project bankability and investor confidence in the country’s rapidly growing renewable energy market.

📌 The discussion brought together developers, EPCs, financiers, and policymakers to exchange perspectives on the practical steps needed to translate policy developments into bankable projects and accelerate the next phase of solar deployment in Vietnam.

On 5 March, EuroCham’s Green Growth Sector Committee - EuroCham Vietnam (GGSC) Co-Chair Jonathan Sourintha joined a one-on-one online clinic on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), organised by the International Organization for Migration.

💬 The discussion explored the implications of the directive in the Viet Nam context, including practical questions on corporate human rights and environmental due diligence.

🌍 The exchange also highlighted how companies can strengthen migrant-inclusive due diligence, as well as effective grievance and remedy mechanisms.

🤝 Through such engagements, GGSC continues to promote international best practices and support sustainable and responsible business in Viet Nam.

🌟 Green Growth Sector Committee - EuroCham Vietnam (GGSC) is pleased to share that our members participated in the Capacity Building Workshop on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for Clean Energy Project Developers in ASEAN, held in Bangkok on 25–26 February 2026.

💐 The workshop was organised by the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with the Thailand Energy Storage Technology Association (TESTA) and the ASEAN Secretariat. The event was supported by the European Union through the Technical Assistance Facility to the Green Team Europe Initiative (TAF-GTEI).

⚡ More than 40 participants from ASEAN Member States joined the workshop, including clean energy project developers, private-sector representatives, energy experts, and government officials.
