A heartfelt thank you to our three incredible "Human Books" for courageously sharing your personal stories and giving us a glimpse into what it's like to live with a disability. Your honesty, vulnerability, and openness inspired us all.

To everyone who attended, thank you for showing up with curiosity, empathy, and an open mind. Every conversation helps break down stereotypes, build understanding, and create a more inclusive community.

We hope this event sparked meaningful conversations and raised greater awareness about the experiences of people with disabilities.

🌱 Green Lunch #5 was a beautiful reminder of why we do this.

Last month, 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 Hanoi gathered at Nhà Hàng Buffet Chay Tâm Hoài Afor another round of Green Lunch. Plates piled high with plant-based dishes, new faces meeting familiar ones, and conversations about sustainability and social impact flowing as easily as the food 💚

🎬 RECAP: VIET SHORT FILMS NIGHT – Disability Awareness 💛

What a night at Nhã Tập Hiên! We screened three powerful short films — “Châu, Beyond the Lines”, “Tôi Đẹp, Bạn Cũng Thế” and “Our Journey” — exploring disability through honest, moving storytelling.

The highlight? Our special guest Ngọc Hiếu (Nàng Ốc) 🐚 — a social entrepreneur creating beautiful handmade shell art from her wheelchair. Her story was emotional, touching, and inspirational, and it made every piece she creates even more meaningful. Her dream to train other people with disabilities to start their own businesses left us all inspired. 👏

Thank you to everyone who came to listen, learn, and connect. Ticket proceeds support Social ChangeMakers and inclusive community initiatives in Saigon. 🙏

📖 Inspired by the Human Library initiative originating in Denmark, Human Library Saigon celebrates extraordinary people with unique life stories to share. It is a unique and transformative concept that brings together a diverse group of extraordinary individuals, affectionately referred to as Human Books. Through small-group conversations, known as reading sessions, attendees ("readers") have the opportunity to listen, learn, and engage with these remarkable Human Books.

♿ For this July Disability Awareness Edition, our Human Books will share lived experiences of disability — the joys, the challenges, and the everyday humanity behind the labels.

📖 Through open and respectful conversations, readers will have the opportunity to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and gain new perspectives through real stories and lived experiences.

💛 Join us for an afternoon of empathy, understanding, and meaningful connection.

💛 Proceeds from Human Library Saigon will go to the SCM Charity Fund to support community impact initiatives.
