Throwback to ZINCK’S NIGHT IN VIETNAM 2023! ❤️🤝
What an unforgettable evening filled with Big Red spirit — made even warmer by a cozy dinner together at Jackson Steakhouse. The perfect setting for reconnecting, sharing laughs, and celebrating our Cornell community in Vietnam.

We loved hearing the VinUni students share their inspiring stories from their time in Ithaca through the Cornell–VinUni collaboration program. Their experiences — from campus life to academic adventures — brought the Cornell energy right back to Vietnam.

Here’s to more connections, more stories, and a stronger Cornell community across Vietnam.
Once a Cornellian, always a Cornellian.

What a memorable evening filled with Big Red spirit. We had the chance to hear inspiring stories from VinUni students about their journey to Ithaca through the Cornell–VinUni collaboration program. Their experiences, challenges, and discoveries reminded us why the Cornell community is so special — no matter where in the world we gather.

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, Cornell’s Class of 2026 has the tenacity, talent and determination to advance the unfinished work of American democracy, President Michael I. Kotlikoff told graduates and their guests at Commencement ceremonies held May 23.

“Today we graduate our 158th graduating class with the most ambitious of goals and the most democratic of aspirations: to build a country and a world that is better for everyone who lives in it,” Kotlikoff said.

Degrees were conferred on more than 8,000 new graduates at two lively but rainy ceremonies held in Schoellkopf Field. Wearing rain ponchos and carrying umbrellas, graduates cheered, danced and posed for photos as they processed into the field behind the banners of their colleges; a few intrepid graduates sported sunglasses.

“Nothing dampens the spirit of the mighty Class of 2026,” said University Marshal Kathryn Boor.

What an extraordinary and energizing gathering at the Cornell Hotel Society event in Vietnam.

One of the standout moments was the powerful presentation “From Hormuz to Hanoi: Why the Gulf Conflict Threatens East Asia’s Long‑term Growth Model” by Michael Nowlis of Imperial Business School, delivered at the Cornell APAC Leadership Summit.

The session took us across the world’s most critical geopolitical flashpoints — from the Strait of Hormuz to shifting political landscapes across continents — and explored how these global tensions are reshaping fuel prices, supply chains, tourism flows, and the future of hospitality in Asia.

What truly elevated the conversation was the incredible diversity in the room. Not only did we have Vietnamese alumni and expat Cornellians living in Vietnam, but also Cornellians from Thailand, China, Singapore, and across the Asia‑Pacific region. Their perspectives, experiences, and insights created a rich, dynamic dialogue that connected global turbulence to local realities in meaningful ways.

Moments like these remind us why the Cornell Hotel Society is such a powerful global network — uniting people, expanding understanding, and strengthening friendships across borders.

Proud of our vibrant Cornell community here in Vietnam.

What an incredible gathering of Cornell alumni here in Vietnam! The Cornell Hotel Societies event at the Sofitel Metropole was truly a memorable occasion.

We had Cornellians from all corners gather along the grand staircase and the beautiful central garden to capture some fantastic moments together.

It was so heartwarming to enjoy everyone's company and to finally bring this event to our vibrant community in Vietnam.

During the break, we had a phenomenal session reflecting on Cornell’s influence on the world and how the ever-changing global landscape is shaping industries like hospitality.

Cheers to the Cornell family! 🎉

Today is the day — the CHS APAC Regional Conference officially kicks off in Hanoi!

Hoteliers from across the region are arriving in Vietnam’s storied capital, ready to reconnect, learn, and immerse themselves in one of Asia’s most dynamic hospitality destinations.

Hanoi welcomes our community with its thousand‑year heritage, French colonial charm, ancient temples, and vibrant street life — all set against a rapidly evolving landscape of design‑forward hotels, innovative F&B concepts, and major infrastructure investments. It’s a city where tradition meets transformation, making it the perfect stage for our APAC gathering.

🎬 Cornellians & Ivy Plus Movie Night – Saigon Edition 🎬

Hello everyone!
This past weekend, Cornell Club of Vietnam joined forces with Cornellians in Vietnam and Ivy Plus for a fun and memorable movie night in Saigon.

☕ We kicked things off with a cozy pre-meet at 15:40 at Starbucks Landmark 81, where conversations flowed as smoothly as the coffee.
🎥 Then at 16:40, we headed to the screening of Project Hail Mary—an exciting film made even better by sharing the experience together as a community.

The laughter, the connections, and the shared energy truly embodied the Cornell spirit, reminding us how special it is to gather with fellow Ivy friends here in Vietnam.

Thanks Tran Tuyet Huong for organizing this gathering!

💡 We look forward to more events like this—bringing Cornellians and Ivy Plus together for meaningful moments, whether over coffee, culture, or cinema.

🌟 Cornell Club of Vietnam – Spring Gathering in Ho Chi Minh City

Cornellians in Vietnam gathered this weekend for a cozy afternoon at Xu Bar, 71 Hai Bà Trưng. Despite a last‑minute venue change, the spirit was strong — stories were shared, friendships rekindled, and a collective commitment made to carry the Cornell legacy forward.

This gathering marks another step in our global journey: blending generations, welcoming new faces, and building a stronger Cornell community in Vietnam. More spontaneous and official meet‑ups will follow — from Saigon to Hanoi, Nha Trang, and Da Nang.
