IIE Việt Nam là một doanh nghiệp xã hội với sứ mệnh là Hỗ trợ Sáng kiến, Phát triển Kỹ năng, Tăng cường Giáo dục và Thúc đẩy Tự lập cho cho các Bạn trẻ mới ra trường và những người yếu thế và dễ bị tổn thương nhất trong xã hội như Người nghèo, Phụ nữ đơn thân, Người dân tộc thiểu số, Những người sống chung với HIV/AIDS, Trẻ em nghèo và Những người khuyết tật. IIE Việt Nam hiện đang thực hiện
bốn Chương trình can thiệp chính để phát triển nguồn lực và thực hiện sứ mệnh của mình gồm:
(1) Nghiên cứu khoa học: Nghiên cứu bối cảnh, nhu cầu, vấn đề, Nghiên cứu ban đầu, Đánh giá giữa kỳ, Đánh giá kết thúc, Đánh giá tác động, Nghiên cứu hồi cứu, Thiết kế dự án, Hỗ trợ kỹ thuật cho Theo dõi, giám sát các Chương trình/Dự án Phát triển Kinh tế/Xã hội và Giảm nghèo nhắm tới các đối tượng yếu thế và dễ bị tổn thương nhất trong xã hội. (2) Thiết kế và Thực hiện các Chương trình Đào: Quản lý các dự án phát triển cho cán bộ các cơ quan, tổ chức; Quản lý kinh doanh cho doanh nghiệp, hợp tác xã; Kỹ năng mềm và Giáo dục Khởi nghiệp cho học sinh, sinh viên và thanh niên. (3) Kinh doanh: Cà phê và các thực phẩm sạch do nông dân nghèo sản xuất. (4) Du lịch vì cộng đồng: Cùng bạn bè quốc tế và Chính quyền, đoàn thể, người dân các địa phương có tiềm năng về du lịch xây dựng và thực hiện các sáng kiến du lịch bền vững và công bằng vì cộng đồng. The Vietnam Initiatives and Informal Education (IIE Vietnam) is a Social Enterprise with the mandate of: Initiatives Support, Skills Development, Informal Education Strengthening, Self-reliance Facilitation to young graduated students and most vulnerable groups such as poor peoples, lonely women, ethnics minorities groups, HIV/AIDS infected peoples and poor children throughout Vietnam. IIE Vietnam is implementing four main interventions to develop funds for its mandate, including:
(1) Conduct studies: Context analysis, Baseline survey, Mid-term and End-line evaluation, Impact, Retrospective Surveys, Design, Monitoring and Evaluation of Economic/Social Development Projects/Programs in favor to the poor and most vulnerable people. (2) Design and conduct training courses: Project/Program development and management to staffs of Government, Mass organizations, Technical organizations, NGOs…; Business development and management to entrepreneurs, managers of cooperatives; Soft skill, Entrepreneurship, and Business start-up to youths. (3) Develop its own business: Coffee and Safe food products produced by small scale producers. (4) Tourism for the community: Together with international friends and authorities, CSOs, and local people with tourism potential, build and implement sustainable and fair tourism initiatives in favor for the local communities.
