Three Monkeys Vietnam, Hanoi (2026)

With the mindset that “every action counts, no matter how small”, we initiated in 2016 the start of our journey by triggering the rescue of a little monkey family, which was caged along the railroad (as depicted here on the right). This first action spontaneously led to the name of our organization ‘Three Monkeys’. Thanks to the support of an increasing number of engaged individuals coming from al

l walks of life, we have been able to pursue along the way a myriad of other meaningful environmental projects. Our strong commitment eventually led us to become in 2020 an international non-profit organization registered in Belgium.

‘Three Monkeys Wildlife Conservancy’ envisions a world in which wild animals can thrive and their welfare is being safeguarded. Therefore, our mission is to act, with the help of the community, for the protection of wild animals, their wilderness, and their well-being.

Ever wondered why douc langurs and Tonkin snub-nosed monkeys have those "beer" bellies? 🐒🍻

Unlike human "beer bellies," the round tummies in douc langurs and Tonkin snub-nosed monkeys have a more fascinating reason. 📖🌿 These leaf-loving monkeys have a big four-chambered stomach that's like a digestion factory, breaking down their fibrous diet of leaves, fruits, flowers, and buds. 🌸🍃🍽️🐵

A big thank you to IUCN Primates Section on Small Apes for granting us the opportunity to attend the Orangutan Veterinary Advisory Group (OVAG) workshop in beautiful Bali. 🦧🏥 Now, we know what you're thinking – we don't have any orangutans in Vietnam, but we do have their closely related cousins, the gibbons. 🐒🌴 We're excited to adapt OVAG's One Health approach to enhance primate conservation in Vietnam. This strategy highlights the interconnectivity of animals, environments, and communities. By tailoring these principles, we're confident in fostering holistic well-being for people, wildlife, and ecosystems in Vietnam. We're eager to apply OVAG's insights to our unique challenges. Do you know how many primate species call Vietnam their one and only home and are found nowhere else on Earth?

The answer is three! The trio of endemic monkeys are 1) Tonkin Snub-nosed monkey, 2) Delacour's langur, and 3) Cat Ba Langur and they can only be found in the breathtaking landscapes of northern Vietnam. ⛰ But you will need a bit of luck to find them as they are now considered among the rarest primate species in the world. Together, we shall be the guardians of their future, ensuring that generations to come may still enjoy sharing our planet with these magnificent beings. 👶🌏

🇻🇳 Bạn có biết có bao nhiêu loài linh trưởng coi Việt Nam là ngôi nhà duy nhất và không thể tìm thấy ở nơi nào khác trên Trái Đất không?

Câu trả lời là ba! Ba loài linh trưởng đặc hữu của Việt Nam là 1) Voọc mũi hếch, 2) Voọc mông trắng, 3) Voọc Cát Bà và chúng chỉ có thể được tìm thấy ở một số cánh rừng tại miền Bắc Việt Nam. ⛰ Nhưng để tìm được chúng thì có lẽ bạn cần chút may mắn bởi hiện chúng đều là một trong những loài linh trưởng quý hiếm nhất trên thế giới. Cùng nhau, chúng ta hãy trở thành người bảo vệ cho tương lai của những loài linh trưởng này nhé, để các thế hệ sau vẫn còn được sống chung với những sinh vật tuyệt đẹp này trên Trái Đất. 👶🌏
