🌟 LÃNH ĐẠO HỘI HỮU NGHỊ VIỆT NAM – ÁO ĐƯỢC TÍN NHIỆM BẦU VÀO BAN CHẤP HÀNH LIÊN HIỆP CÁC TỔ CHỨC HỮU NGHỊ VIỆT NAM KHÓA VII 🌟

Sáng ngày 14/9/2026, tại Hà Nội, Đại hội đại biểu toàn quốc lần thứ VII của Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam, nhiệm kỳ 2026–2031, đã được tổ chức với sự tham dự của các đại biểu đại diện các tổ chức thành viên và các cơ quan, đơn vị liên quan.

Tại Đại hội, GS.TS. Trần Tuấn Anh, Phó Chủ tịch Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Công nghệ Việt Nam, Chủ tịch Hội Hữu nghị Việt Nam – Áo, và bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang, Chánh Văn phòng Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam, Tổng Thư ký Hội Hữu nghị Việt Nam – Áo, đã được tín nhiệm bầu vào Ban Chấp hành Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam khóa VII, nhiệm kỳ 2026–2031.

Đặc biệt, bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang được tín nhiệm bầu giữ chức Phó Chủ tịch Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam khóa VII, nhiệm kỳ 2026–2031.

Việc GS.TS. Trần Tuấn Anh và bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang được tín nhiệm tham gia Ban Chấp hành Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam khóa VII, trong đó bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang đảm nhiệm cương vị Phó Chủ tịch Liên hiệp, là sự ghi nhận đối với những đóng góp trong công tác đối ngoại nhân dân, đồng thời thể hiện sự tin tưởng đối với đội ngũ cán bộ của các tổ chức thành viên trong việc tiếp tục tham gia và đóng góp vào hoạt động chung của Liên hiệp.

Trong thời gian qua, Hội Hữu nghị Việt Nam – Áo luôn chú trọng phát huy vai trò cầu nối hữu nghị, tăng cường giao lưu và kết nối giữa nhân dân hai nước, góp phần củng cố sự hiểu biết, tin cậy và hợp tác Việt Nam – Áo. Việc lãnh đạo Hội được tín nhiệm đảm nhiệm các vị trí trong Ban Chấp hành Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam khóa VII sẽ tạo thêm điều kiện để Hội tiếp tục phối hợp với Liên hiệp và các tổ chức thành viên, triển khai hiệu quả các hoạt động đối ngoại nhân dân trong thời gian tới.

Trên cương vị mới, bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang sẽ tiếp tục cùng tập thể lãnh đạo Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị Việt Nam đóng góp vào việc triển khai công tác đối ngoại nhân dân, tăng cường giao lưu, kết nối với các đối tác quốc tế và các tổ chức nhân dân các nước; đồng thời góp phần thúc đẩy quan hệ hữu nghị, hợp tác giữa Việt Nam với các đối tác, trong đó có Cộng hòa Áo.

Hội Hữu nghị Việt Nam – Áo trân trọng chúc mừng GS.TS. Trần Tuấn Anh và bà Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang. Với trọng trách mới, Hội tin tưởng GS.TS. 🇻🇳🇦🇹 VORSTANDSMITGLIEDER DER VIETNAMESISCH-ÖSTERREICHISCHEN FREUNDSCHAFTSGESELLSCHAFT IN DEN VORSTAND DER VIETNAMESISCHEN UNION DER FREUNDSCHAFTSGESELLSCHAFTEN FÜR DIE VII. AMTSPERIODE GEWÄHLT

Am 14. September 2026 fand in Hanoi der VII. Nationale Kongress der Vietnamesischen Union der Freundschaftsgesellschaften (VUFO) für die Amtsperiode 2026–2031 statt. An dem Kongress nahmen Delegierte der Mitgliedsorganisationen sowie Vertreter der zuständigen Behörden und Institutionen teil.

Auf dem Kongress wurden Prof. Dr. Trần Tuấn Anh, Vizepräsident der Vietnamesischen Akademie für Wissenschaft und Technologie und Präsident der Vietnamesisch-Österreichischen Freundschaftsgesellschaft, sowie Frau Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang, Generalsekretärin der Vietnamesisch-Österreichischen Freundschaftsgesellschaft und Leiterin des Büros der Vietnamesischen Union der Freundschaftsgesellschaften, in den Vorstand der Vietnamesischen Union der Freundschaftsgesellschaften für die VII. Amtsperiode 2026–2031 gewählt.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass Frau Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang zur Vizepräsidentin der Vietnamesischen Union der Freundschaftsgesellschaften für die Amtsperiode 2026–2031 gewählt wurde.

Die Wahl von Prof. Dr. Trần Tuấn Anh und Frau Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang in den Vorstand der Vietnamesischen Union der Freundschaftsgesellschaften, insbesondere die Wahl von Frau Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang zur Vizepräsidentin der Union, ist eine Anerkennung ihrer Beiträge zur zwischenmenschlichen Diplomatie und zugleich ein Ausdruck des Vertrauens in die Führung und Mitglieder der Vietnamesisch-Österreichischen Freundschaftsgesellschaft bei der Mitwirkung an den gemeinsamen Aufgaben der Union.

In den vergangenen Jahren hat die Vietnamesisch-Österreichische Freundschaftsgesellschaft ihre Rolle als Brücke der Freundschaft weiter ausgebaut, den Austausch und die Vernetzung zwischen den Völkern Vietnams und Österreichs gefördert und damit zu einem besseren gegenseitigen Verständnis sowie zur Festigung von Vertrauen und Zusammenarbeit zwischen beiden Ländern beigetragen.

Amtsperiode eröffnet zugleich weitere Möglichkeiten, die Zusammenarbeit mit der Union und ihren Mitgliedsorganisationen zu vertiefen, die Aktivitäten der zwischenmenschlichen Diplomatie weiter voranzutreiben und zur Festigung und Weiterentwicklung der freundschaftlichen Beziehungen und der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Vietnam und Österreich beizutragen.

🇻🇳🇦🇹 LEADERS OF THE VIETNAM–AUSTRIA FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION ELECTED TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE VIETNAM UNION OF FRIENDSHIP ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE 7TH TERM

On the morning of 14 September 2026, in Hanoi, the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), for the 2026–2031 term, took place with the participation of delegates representing member organizations, as well as relevant agencies and institutions.

At the Congress, Prof. Dr. Trần Tuấn Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and President of the Vietnam–Austria Friendship Association, and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang, Secretary-General of the Vietnam–Austria Friendship Association and Chief of the Office of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, were elected to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 7th term (2026–2031).

In particular, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang was elected Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2026–2031 term.

The election of Prof. Dr. Trần Tuấn Anh and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, with Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Giang assuming the position of Vice President, represents recognition of their contributions to people-to-people diplomacy and reflects the confidence placed in the leadership and membership of the Vietnam–Austria Friendship Association in contributing to the common work of the Union.

In recent years, the Vietnam–Austria Friendship Association has continued to promote its role as a bridge of friendship, strengthening exchanges and connections between the peoples of Viet Nam and Austria and contributing to greater mutual understanding, trust and cooperation between the two countries.

The participation of the Association’s leadership in the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 7th term provides further opportunities for the Association to work closely with VUFO and its member organizations in implementing people-to-people diplomacy activities and further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Austria.

VIỆT NAM - ÁO THÚC ĐẨY HỢP TÁC ĐẦU TƯ VÀ ĐỔI MỚI SÁNG TẠO

Chuyến công tác của đoàn UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng tại Áo góp phần thúc đẩy hợp tác đầu tư, đổi mới sáng tạo và mở rộng kết nối doanh nghiệp giữa hai bên.

Đoàn UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng do ông Phan Thái Bình, Ủy viên Ban Thường vụ, Phó Chủ tịch UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng làm trưởng đoàn đã đến thăm và làm việc tại Áo trong hai ngày 29 và 30/7/2026.

Đoàn đã làm việc với Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Áo và đồng tổ chức một hội thảo xúc tiến đầu tư nhằm quảng bá môi trường đầu tư của Đà Nẵng, giới thiệu tiềm năng, lợi thế cạnh tranh và danh sách các dự án đang kêu gọi đầu tư, đặc biệt là tại Khu kinh tế mở Chu Lai, nhằm phát triển kinh tế của thành phố. Hội thảo đã thu hút sự quan tâm mạnh mẽ từ các đối tác Áo và tạo ra những trao đổi quý giá về các cơ hội hợp tác cụ thể.

Đoàn cũng đã đến thăm và làm việc với Cơ quan Hợp tác phát triển kinh tế Áo (AED), Phòng Kinh tế Liên bang Áo, Viện Nghiên cứu công nghệ Áo (AIT) và Đại học Viên.

Quan hệ song phương Việt Nam - Áo đang phát triển rất tốt đẹp. Trên cơ sở Hiệp định Thương mại tự do Việt Nam - EU (EVFTA), quan hệ kinh tế giữa hai nước đã và đang phát triển mạnh mẽ. Theo số liệu của Hải quan Việt Nam, kim ngạch thương mại song phương Việt Nam - Áo đạt khoảng 3 tỷ USD trong năm 2025, tăng gần 24%; trong đó, xuất khẩu của Việt Nam tăng gần 28%, lên 2,5 tỷ USD. Hy vọng đà tăng trưởng này sẽ tiếp tục được duy trì trong năm 2026.

Trong thời gian gần đây, thành phố đã có nhiều hoạt động hợp tác với Áo như tổ chức hội thảo giới thiệu về Trung tâm Tài chính tại thành phố Viên vào ngày 17/11/2025; ký Bản ghi nhớ về hợp tác khoa học, công nghệ, đổi mới sáng tạo và chuyển đổi số với Cơ quan Hợp tác phát triển kinh tế Áo vào ngày 24/3/2026 tại Việt Nam.

Áo là quốc gia có nền công nghiệp phát triển cao, với nhiều thế mạnh nổi bật trong các lĩnh vực sản xuất, công nghệ giao thông, logistics, năng lượng xanh, công nghệ môi trường, đổi mới sáng tạo, tài chính, du lịch và phát triển hạ tầng đô thị thông minh. Đây đều là những lĩnh vực phù hợp với định hướng thu hút đầu tư và phát triển công nghiệp của thành phố Đà Nẵng.

Ông Phan Thái Bình khẳng định, thành phố cam kết tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho các nhà đầu tư thông qua các chính sách ưu đãi về thủ tục cấp phép, thuế, đất đai và nguồn nhân lực. Hai bên bày tỏ mong muốn trong thời gian tới sẽ tăng cường trao đổi chuyên gia, tư vấn và triển khai nhiều dự án hợp tác cụ thể cho thành phố.

VIETNAM UND ÖSTERREICH FÖRDERN ZUSAMMENARBEIT IN INVESTITIONEN UND INNOVATION

Die Dienstreise einer Delegation des Volkskomitees der Stadt Đà Nẵng nach Österreich hat dazu beigetragen, die Zusammenarbeit in den Bereichen Investitionen, Innovation sowie die Vernetzung von Unternehmen beider Länder weiter auszubauen.

Die Delegation des Volkskomitees der Stadt Đà Nẵng unter der Leitung von Phan Thái Bình, Mitglied des Ständigen Ausschusses des Parteikomitees und Stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Volkskomitees der Stadt Đà Nẵng, besuchte Österreich am 29. und 30. Juli 2026.

Während des Aufenthalts führte die Delegation Gespräche mit der Botschaft Vietnams in Österreich und organisierte gemeinsam mit dieser ein Investitionsförderungsseminar, um das Investitionsumfeld von Đà Nẵng vorzustellen, die Entwicklungspotenziale und Wettbewerbsvorteile der Stadt zu präsentieren sowie Projekte vorzustellen, die derzeit Investoren suchen – insbesondere im Offenen Wirtschaftsgebiet Chu Lai –, um die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt weiter voranzutreiben. Das Seminar stieß auf großes Interesse österreichischer Partner und bot eine wertvolle Plattform für den Austausch über konkrete Kooperationsmöglichkeiten.

Darüber hinaus besuchte die Delegation die Austrian Business Agency (ABA), die Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKÖ), das Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) sowie die Universität Wien, wo Gespräche über Kooperationsmöglichkeiten geführt wurden.

Die bilateralen Beziehungen zwischen Vietnam und Österreich entwickeln sich weiterhin sehr positiv. Auf der Grundlage des Freihandelsabkommens zwischen Vietnam und der Europäischen Union (EVFTA) haben sich die Wirtschaftsbeziehungen zwischen beiden Ländern dynamisch entwickelt. Nach Angaben des vietnamesischen Zolls erreichte das bilaterale Handelsvolumen im Jahr 2025 rund 3 Milliarden US-Dollar, was einem Anstieg von nahezu 24 Prozent entspricht. Die vietnamesischen Exporte nach Österreich stiegen um fast 28 Prozent auf 2,5 Milliarden US-Dollar. Es besteht die Erwartung, dass dieser Wachstumstrend auch im Jahr 2026 anhält.

In jüngster Zeit hat die Stadt Đà Nẵng ihre Zusammenarbeit mit Österreich weiter intensiviert. Dazu zählen ein Seminar über das geplante Internationale Finanzzentrum Đà Nẵng, das am 17. November 2025 in Wien stattfand, sowie die Unterzeichnung einer Absichtserklärung über die Zusammenarbeit in Wissenschaft, Technologie, Innovation und digitaler Transformation mit der Austrian Business Agency (ABA) am 24. März 2026 in Vietnam.

Österreich verfügt über eine hochentwickelte Industrie und besondere Stärken in den Bereichen Fertigung, Verkehrstechnologien, Logistik, grüne Energie, Umwelttechnologien, Innovation, Finanzdienstleistungen, Tourismus sowie intelligente Stadtentwicklung. Diese Bereiche entsprechen den Investitions- und Entwicklungsprioritäten der Stadt Đà Nẵng.

Phan Thái Bình bekräftigte, dass die Stadt Đà Nẵng ausländischen Investoren durch attraktive Anreize bei Genehmigungsverfahren, Steuern, Grundstückspolitik und der Entwicklung qualifizierter Arbeitskräfte bestmögliche Rahmenbedingungen bieten werde. Beide Seiten brachten ihren Wunsch zum Ausdruck, den Austausch von Expertinnen und Experten sowie Beratungsleistungen zu intensivieren und künftig weitere konkrete Kooperationsprojekte umzusetzen.

VIETNAM AND AUSTRIA PROMOTE INVESTMENT COOPERATION AND INNOVATION

A working visit by a delegation from the People's Committee of Đà Nẵng City to Austria has contributed to strengthening cooperation in investment, innovation and business connectivity between the two sides.

The delegation, led by Phan Thái Bình, Member of the Standing Committee of the Đà Nẵng Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Đà Nẵng City, visited Austria on 29–30 July 2026.

During the visit, the delegation held working sessions with the Embassy of Vietnam in Austria and co-organised an investment promotion seminar to introduce Đà Nẵng's investment environment, highlight the city's development potential and competitive advantages, and present a portfolio of investment projects, particularly those in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, aimed at supporting the city's economic development. The seminar attracted strong interest from Austrian partners and provided a valuable platform for discussions on concrete cooperation opportunities.

The delegation also visited and held meetings with the Austrian Business Agency (ABA), the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the University of Vienna.

Vietnam–Austria bilateral relations continue to develop positively. Building on the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), economic cooperation between the two countries has expanded significantly. According to Vietnam Customs, bilateral trade reached approximately USD 3 billion in 2025, representing an increase of nearly 24%, while Vietnam's exports to Austria rose by almost 28% to USD 2.5 billion. Both sides expect this positive growth momentum to continue throughout 2026.

In recent years, Đà Nẵng has carried out several cooperative initiatives with Austrian partners, including a seminar introducing the Đà Nẵng International Financial Centre in Vienna on 17 November 2025, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation with the Austrian Business Agency (ABA) in Vietnam on 24 March 2026.

Austria is recognised as a highly industrialised country with strengths in manufacturing, transport technologies, logistics, green energy, environmental technology, innovation, finance, tourism and smart urban infrastructure development. These sectors align closely with Đà Nẵng's priorities for investment attraction and industrial development.

Phan Thái Bình reaffirmed the city's commitment to creating favourable conditions for investors through preferential policies relating to licensing procedures, taxation, land access and human resource development. Both sides also expressed their desire to enhance exchanges of experts, expand advisory cooperation and implement more practical joint projects in the coming years.

Hà Tĩnh đang mở rộng cánh cửa hợp tác với các đối tác châu Âu khi tăng cường kết nối với Đại sứ quán Cộng hòa Áo và Hiệp hội Doanh nghiệp Trung và Đông Âu tại Việt Nam (CEEC), hướng tới thu hút đầu tư vào các lĩnh vực công nghệ xanh, chuyển đổi số, logistics, năng lượng và phát triển công nghiệp bền vững.

Chiều 29/7, UBND tỉnh Hà Tĩnh có buổi làm việc với Đoàn công tác Đại sứ quán Cộng hòa Áo tại Việt Nam và Hiệp hội Doanh nghiệp Trung và Đông Âu tại Việt Nam (CEEC) nhằm trao đổi các cơ hội hợp tác về xúc tiến đầu tư, thương mại và phát triển kinh tế - xã hội.

Phát biểu tại buổi làm việc, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Hà Tĩnh Phan Thiên Định chào mừng Ngài Philipp Agathonos - Đại sứ Đặc mệnh toàn quyền Cộng hòa Áo tại Việt Nam cùng đoàn công tác đến thăm, làm việc tại địa phương.

Giới thiệu về tiềm năng phát triển của Hà Tĩnh, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Hà Tĩnh cho biết địa phương sở hữu vị trí chiến lược trên hành lang kinh tế Đông - Tây, có Cụm cảng nước sâu Vũng Áng - Sơn Dương cùng hệ thống hạ tầng giao thông ngày càng đồng bộ, tạo lợi thế lớn trong kết nối giao thương quốc tế.

Theo lãnh đạo tỉnh, Hà Tĩnh đang ưu tiên thu hút đầu tư vào các lĩnh vực công nghiệp chế biến, chế tạo, luyện kim, năng lượng, logistics, cảng biển, nông nghiệp công nghệ cao, chuyển đổi xanh và chuyển đổi số. Tỉnh cũng cam kết tiếp tục cải thiện môi trường đầu tư, đẩy mạnh cải cách thủ tục hành chính và đồng hành cùng doanh nghiệp, đặc biệt là các nhà đầu tư đến từ Cộng hòa Áo và khu vực Trung, Đông Âu.

Sau chuyến khảo sát thực tế tại Khu kinh tế Vũng Áng, Ngài Philipp Agathonos đánh giá cao những lợi thế về vị trí, hạ tầng cũng như định hướng phát triển của Hà Tĩnh.

Đại sứ cho biết, Áo phát triển công nghiệp trên nền tảng hài hòa giữa tăng trưởng kinh tế với bảo vệ môi trường, gìn giữ giá trị văn hóa và phát triển du lịch bền vững. Một trong những thế mạnh của Áo là các giải pháp quản lý, phân loại và xử lý rác thải tại nguồn, đặc biệt là rác thải nhựa và bao bì, nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả tái chế và thúc đẩy kinh tế tuần hoàn.

Ông Florian Beranek, Phó Chủ tịch Hiệp hội Doanh nghiệp Trung và Đông Âu tại Việt Nam (CEEC), cho biết các doanh nghiệp trong mạng lưới CEEC có nhiều kinh nghiệm trong các lĩnh vực công nghệ xanh, chuyển đổi số, quản lý môi trường, giáo dục - đào tạo và phát triển bền vững. Đây đều là những lĩnh vực phù hợp với nhu cầu phát triển của Hà Tĩnh trong giai đoạn mới.

Tại buổi làm việc, hai bên đã trao đổi và thống nhất định hướng tăng cường hợp tác trong các lĩnh vực lao động, giáo dục - đào tạo, xúc tiến đầu tư, thương mại và giao lưu nhân dân. Trong đó, trọng tâm là chia sẻ kinh nghiệm, tìm kiếm cơ hội hợp tác về xử lý rác thải sinh hoạt, rác thải công nghiệp, phát triển các mô hình sản xuất bền vững và khai thác hiệu quả nguồn nguyên liệu gỗ dăm phục vụ công nghiệp.

Lãnh đạo tỉnh Hà Tĩnh đề nghị Đại sứ quán Cộng hòa Áo và Hiệp hội CEEC tiếp tục hỗ trợ Hà Tĩnh trong đào tạo nguồn nhân lực chất lượng cao, nhất là nhân lực kỹ thuật phục vụ ngành khai thác và chế biến thép; đồng thời thúc đẩy hợp tác giữa các cơ sở giáo dục nghề nghiệp, trường đại học của tỉnh với các đối tác giàu kinh nghiệm tại châu Âu.

Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Hà Tĩnh cũng mong muốn Đại sứ quán và CEEC tiếp tục phát huy vai trò cầu nối, giới thiệu các doanh nghiệp đến khảo sát cơ hội đầu tư tại Khu kinh tế Vũng Áng và các khu vực tiềm năng của Hà Tĩnh.

Đặc biệt, Hà Tĩnh kỳ vọng thu hút các doanh nghiệp hoạt động trong lĩnh vực công nghệ số, hạ tầng số tham gia đầu tư, hợp tác trong quá trình xây dựng trung tâm dữ liệu AI tại Khu kinh tế Vũng Áng, qua đó từng bước hình thành hệ sinh thái công nghiệp hiện đại, xanh và phát triển bền vững.

Trước đó, trong buổi sáng cùng ngày, đoàn công tác của UBND tỉnh Hà Tĩnh cùng Ngài Philipp Agathonos và đại diện Đại sứ quán Cộng hòa Áo, Hiệp hội CEEC đã khảo sát thực tế tại Cụm cảng biển quốc tế Vũng Áng nhằm tìm hiểu tiềm năng phát triển hạ tầng logistics và các cơ hội hợp tác đầu tư tại khu kinh tế trọng điểm của tỉnh.

Hà Tĩnh öffnet sich verstärkt für die Zusammenarbeit mit europäischen Partnern und intensiviert seine Kontakte mit der Botschaft der Republik Österreich in Vietnam sowie der Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CEEC). Ziel ist es, Investitionen in den Bereichen grüne Technologien, digitale Transformation, Logistik, Energie und nachhaltige industrielle Entwicklung anzuziehen.

Am Nachmittag des 29. Juli 2026 führte das Volkskomitee der Provinz Hà Tĩnh ein Arbeitsgespräch mit einer Delegation der Botschaft der Republik Österreich in Vietnam und der CEEC, um Möglichkeiten der Zusammenarbeit bei Investitionsförderung, Handel sowie sozioökonomischer Entwicklung zu erörtern.

Zu Beginn des Treffens begrüßte Phan Thiên Định, Vorsitzender des Volkskomitees der Provinz Hà Tĩnh, S.E. Philipp Agathonos, Außerordentlicher und Bevollmächtigter Botschafter der Republik Österreich in Vietnam, sowie die Delegation zu ihrem Besuch und Arbeitsaufenthalt in der Provinz.

Bei der Vorstellung des Entwicklungspotenzials von Hà Tĩnh betonte der Vorsitzende des Volkskomitees die strategische Lage der Provinz am Ost-West-Wirtschaftskorridor. Mit dem Tiefseehafenkomplex Vũng Áng–Sơn Dương und einer zunehmend modernen und gut ausgebauten Verkehrsinfrastruktur verfügt Hà Tĩnh über erhebliche Vorteile für die internationale Handelsanbindung.

Nach Angaben der Provinzführung konzentriert sich Hà Tĩnh bei der Investitionsförderung insbesondere auf die Bereiche Verarbeitungs- und Fertigungsindustrie, Metallurgie, Energie, Logistik, Seehäfen, Hightech-Landwirtschaft, grüne Transformation und digitale Transformation. Die Provinz verpflichtet sich zugleich, das Investitionsumfeld weiter zu verbessern, Verwaltungsverfahren zu vereinfachen und Unternehmen – insbesondere Investoren aus Österreich sowie Mittel- und Osteuropa – aktiv zu begleiten und zu unterstützen.

Nach einer Besichtigung der Wirtschaftszone Vũng Áng würdigte Botschafter Philipp Agathonos die günstige geografische Lage, die Infrastruktur sowie die Entwicklungsstrategie von Hà Tĩnh.

Der Botschafter erklärte, Österreich verfolge ein industrielles Entwicklungsmodell, das Wirtschaftswachstum mit Umweltschutz, der Bewahrung kultureller Werte und nachhaltigem Tourismus verbindet. Zu den besonderen Stärken Österreichs zählen Lösungen für Abfallmanagement, Mülltrennung und Abfallbehandlung direkt an der Quelle, insbesondere bei Kunststoff- und Verpackungsabfällen, um die Recyclingeffizienz zu erhöhen und die Kreislaufwirtschaft zu fördern.

Florian Beranek, Vizepräsident der CEEC in Vietnam, erklärte, dass die Unternehmen im CEEC-Netzwerk über umfangreiche Erfahrungen in den Bereichen grüne Technologien, digitale Transformation, Umweltmanagement, Bildung und Ausbildung sowie nachhaltige Entwicklung verfügen. Diese Bereiche entsprechen in hohem Maße den Entwicklungsbedürfnissen von Hà Tĩnh in der neuen Entwicklungsphase.

Während des Treffens erörterten beide Seiten Möglichkeiten zur Intensivierung der Zusammenarbeit in den Bereichen Arbeitskräfte, Bildung und Ausbildung, Investitionsförderung, Handel sowie zwischenmenschlicher Austausch. Im Mittelpunkt standen der Erfahrungsaustausch und die Suche nach Kooperationsmöglichkeiten bei der Behandlung von Haushalts- und Industrieabfällen, der Entwicklung nachhaltiger Produktionsmodelle sowie der effizienten Nutzung von Holzhackschnitzeln als Rohstoff für industrielle Zwecke.

Die Provinzführung von Hà Tĩnh ersuchte die österreichische Botschaft und die CEEC außerdem um Unterstützung bei der Ausbildung hochqualifizierter Fachkräfte, insbesondere von technischem Personal für die Stahlindustrie und -verarbeitung. Gleichzeitig soll die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Berufsbildungseinrichtungen und Universitäten der Provinz und erfahrenen europäischen Partnern ausgebaut werden.

Der Vorsitzende des Volkskomitees von Hà Tĩnh äußerte zudem den Wunsch, dass die österreichische Botschaft und die CEEC ihre Rolle als Brücke weiter ausbauen und Unternehmen dabei unterstützen, Investitionsmöglichkeiten in der Wirtschaftszone Vũng Áng sowie in weiteren potenziellen Investitionsgebieten der Provinz zu erkunden.

Besonderes Interesse hat Hà Tĩnh daran, Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Digitaltechnologie und digitale Infrastruktur für Investitionen und Kooperationen beim Aufbau eines KI-Rechenzentrums in der Wirtschaftszone Vũng Áng zu gewinnen. Damit soll schrittweise ein modernes, grünes und nachhaltiges industrielles Ökosystem entstehen.

Bereits am Vormittag desselben Tages hatten Vertreter des Volkskomitees der Provinz Hà Tĩnh gemeinsam mit Botschafter Philipp Agathonos sowie Vertretern der österreichischen Botschaft und der CEEC den internationalen Hafenkomplex Vũng Áng besichtigt. Ziel war es, sich über das Potenzial für die Entwicklung der Logistikinfrastruktur und über Investitionsmöglichkeiten in dieser bedeutenden Wirtschaftszone der Provinz zu informieren.

HÀ TĨNH INVITES AUSTRIAN BUSINESSES TO INVEST IN GREEN TECHNOLOGY, AI DATA CENTRES AND LOGISTICS

Hà Tĩnh is expanding opportunities for cooperation with European partners by strengthening ties with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Vietnam and the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CEEC), with a view to attracting investment in green technology, digital transformation, logistics, energy and sustainable industrial development.

On the afternoon of 29 July 2026, the People's Committee of Hà Tĩnh Province held a working session with a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Vietnam and CEEC to discuss opportunities for cooperation in investment promotion, trade and socio-economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Phan Thiên Định, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hà Tĩnh Province, welcomed H.E. Philipp Agathonos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam, and the delegation on their visit and working trip to the province.

Introducing Hà Tĩnh's development potential, the Chairman noted that the province occupies a strategic position along the East–West Economic Corridor and is home to the Vũng Áng–Sơn Dương deep-water port complex, supported by an increasingly integrated transport infrastructure network. These advantages provide Hà Tĩnh with significant potential for international trade connectivity.

According to provincial leaders, Hà Tĩnh is prioritising investment in processing and manufacturing, metallurgy, energy, logistics, seaports, high-tech agriculture, green transformation and digital transformation. The province also remains committed to improving its investment environment, accelerating administrative reform and supporting businesses, particularly investors from Austria and Central and Eastern Europe.

Following a field visit to the Vũng Áng Economic Zone, Ambassador Philipp Agathonos highly appreciated Hà Tĩnh's advantages in terms of geographical location, infrastructure and development orientation.

The Ambassador noted that Austria has developed its industrial sector based on a balanced approach combining economic growth with environmental protection, preservation of cultural values and sustainable tourism. One of Austria's key strengths lies in waste management, sorting and treatment at source, particularly for plastic and packaging waste, with the aim of improving recycling efficiency and promoting the circular economy.

Florian Beranek, Vice President of CEEC in Vietnam, said that businesses within the CEEC network have extensive experience in green technology, digital transformation, environmental management, education and training, and sustainable development. These areas are closely aligned with Hà Tĩnh's development needs in the new phase.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on directions for strengthening cooperation in labour, education and training, investment promotion, trade and people-to-people exchanges. Particular attention was given to sharing experience and exploring cooperation in household and industrial waste treatment, developing sustainable production models and making effective use of wood chips as an industrial raw material.

Hà Tĩnh's provincial leaders also called on the Austrian Embassy and CEEC to continue supporting the province in developing high-quality human resources, particularly technical personnel for the steel production and processing industries. They also proposed strengthening cooperation between the province's vocational education institutions and universities and experienced European partners.

The Chairman of the Hà Tĩnh Provincial People's Committee further expressed his hope that the Austrian Embassy and CEEC would continue to serve as bridges, introducing businesses interested in exploring investment opportunities in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone and other promising areas of Hà Tĩnh.

In particular, Hà Tĩnh hopes to attract companies specialising in digital technology and digital infrastructure to invest and cooperate in the development of an AI data centre in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone, thereby gradually establishing a modern, green and sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Earlier that morning, a delegation from the Hà Tĩnh Provincial People's Committee, together with Ambassador Philipp Agathonos and representatives of the Austrian Embassy and CEEC, conducted a field visit to the Vũng Áng international seaport complex to explore the potential for logistics infrastructure development and investment opportunities in one of the province's key economic zones.
