Ngày 30/10, Empower Women Asia vinh dự đồng hành cùng Keep It Beautiful Vietnam trong lễ ký kết hợp tác với Đại học RMIT Việt Nam. Sự kiện đánh dấu khởi đầu cho những cơ hội mới trong việc kết nối giáo dục, sáng tạo trẻ và phát triển thời trang bền vững gắn liền với giá trị của phụ nữ và làng nghề Việt Nam.

Đại diện EWA, bạn Nguyễn Minh Quốc, Trưởng dự án, đã tham dự buổi ký kết để mở rộng các hướng hợp tác trong lĩnh vực thời trang bền vững, sáng tạo cộng đồng và trao quyền kinh tế cho phụ nữ dân tộc thiểu số.

A new step forward in our journey to “Empower Women - Empower the World”! 💫

On October 30, Empower Women Asia was honored to accompany Keep It Beautiful Vietnam in the MOU signing ceremony with RMIT University Vietnam. The event marks the beginning of new opportunities to connect education, youth creativity, and the development of sustainable fashion rooted in the values of women and Vietnam’s traditional craft villages.

Representing EWA, Project Head Nguyen Minh Quoc attended the ceremony to explore and expand potential collaborations in sustainable fashion, community creativity, and women’s economic empowerment among ethnic minority groups.

With the vision “Empower women to empower the world,” EWA believes that this partnership between KIBV and RMIT Vietnam will foster meaningful initiatives that celebrate tradition, creativity, and social responsibility, where the voices of women and the artistry of Vietnamese craftsmanship are honored and shared with the world on the path toward sustainability.

Nghề truyền thống đã luôn là một phần không thể thiếu trong văn hóa Việt Nam. Trong đó, nghề dệt không chỉ là công việc mưu sinh của các làng nghề dân tộc thiểu số mà còn là một biểu tượng văn hóa, là cách con người gửi gắm đời sống tinh thần vào từng tác phẩm. Sản phẩm nghề dệt không chỉ mang giá trị thực tiễn, mà còn chứa đựng những nét văn hóa sống động của từng vùng đất, cùng với kết tinh của tình yêu quê hương được đúc kết qua nhiều thế hệ.
Tuy nhiên, trong bối cảnh toàn cầu hóa - công nghiệp hóa, nhiều làng nghề truyền thống đang đối diện với nguy cơ mai một. Những người trẻ ít mặn mà với nghề, cộng thêm sự cạnh tranh của hàng hóa sản xuất hàng loạt khiến sản phẩm thủ công khó giữ được vị thế vốn có. Chính vì vậy, việc bảo tồn và phát triển nghề thủ công truyền thống không là nhiệm vụ hết sức quan trọng, cần sự chung tay của cộng đồng.
Empower Women Asia tự hào là một phần của sứ mệnh này. Được sáng lập bởi tổ chức KIBV (Keep It Beautiful Vietnam), EWA là dự án hỗ trợ kinh tế cho phụ nữ dân tộc thiểu số ở các làng nghề dệt may, giúp họ họ gìn giữ những giá trị di sản của dân tộc. Thông qua các khóa đào tạo nâng cao tay nghề, các chương trình hỗ trợ kỹ thuật, EWA đã giúp các nữ nghệ nhân tạo ra những sản phẩm dệt may chất lượng cao, tạo cơ hội tiếp cận với thị trường trong - ngoài nước, từ đó cải thiện thu nhập, mở ra một tương lai bền vững.

Traditional crafts have always been an indispensable part of Vietnamese culture. Among them, weaving is not only a livelihood for ethnic minority craft villages but also a cultural symbol—a way for people to embed their spiritual life into each piece. Weaving products not only have practical value but also embody the vibrant cultural characteristics of each region, along with the essence of love for the homeland accumulated over many generations.
However, amidst globalization and industrialization, many traditional craft villages are facing the risk of disappearing. Younger generations show less interest in the trade, and the competition from mass-produced goods makes it difficult for handcrafted products to maintain their traditional position. Therefore, the conservation and development of traditional crafts is an extremely important mission that requires the collective effort of the community.
Empower Women Asia (EWA) is proud to be part of this mission. Founded by the organization KIBV (Keep It Beautiful Vietnam), EWA is an economic support project for ethnic minority women in weaving villages, helping them preserve the heritage values of their people. Through advanced skill training courses and technical support programs, EWA has helped women artisans create high-quality textile products, create opportunities to access domestic and international markets, thereby improving their income and opening up a sustainable future.

ETERNAL RIVER – DÒNG CHẢY BẤT TẬN CỦA THỜI GIAN ✨

Từ ngàn đời nay, những dòng sông vẫn miệt mài chảy, mang theo phù sa, ký ức và hơi thở của đất trời. Chính từ hình ảnh ấy, Nhà Thiết Kế Ngọc Anh đã tìm thấy cảm hứng để tạo nên “Eternal River”, bộ sưu tập thời trang sẽ được trình diễn tại Tuần lễ Thời trang New York sắp tới - đánh dấu một niềm tự hào của thời trang Việt trên sàn diễn quốc tế.

Trong từng lớp vải mềm mại, ta thấy sự uyển chuyển của dòng nước; trong từng đường gấp nếp, ta nghe âm vang của sóng vỗ; trong những mảng màu phản chiếu ánh sáng, ta bắt gặp sự lấp lánh của mặt sông dưới nắng. Mỗi thiết kế không chỉ là một bộ trang phục, mà còn là một câu chuyện về sự sống, về hành trình chảy trôi và đổi thay bất tận.

ETERNAL RIVER – THE ENDLESS FLOW OF TIME ✨

For thousands of years, rivers have ceaselessly flowed, carrying with them fertile soil, memories, and the breath of the earth. From this timeless imagery, designer La Phạm found inspiration to create “Eternal River”, a fashion collection soon to be showcased at New York Fashion Week – a proud milestone for Vietnamese fashion on the international stage.

In every soft layer of fabric, one can feel the fluidity of water; in every pleat, the echoes of waves; and in shimmering hues reflecting the light, the glistening surface of the river under the sun. Each design is more than just a garment – it is a story of life, of flow, and of endless transformation.

“Eternal River” is a current that connects past, present, and future, where the cultural heritage of Vietnam is cherished and reimagined through the language of contemporary fashion. Through organizing training classes,workshops, events and an introduction of sustainable production cycle from raw materials to ended products, Empower Women Asia strikes to prove the ability of minority women & girls in Vietnam as the high level of skillful, reliable sustainable producers and workforce. This is also an action to join in force to achieve the sustainable goals of UN by 2030.

Empower Women Asia là dự án của KIBV(Keep In Beautiful Vietnam) thực hiện với mục đích hỗ trợ các chị em phụ nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Mai Châu-Hòa Bình,Việt Nam trong nỗ lực khôi phục, bảo tồn, quảng bá và phát triển các làng nghề dệt truyền thống Việt Na theo hình thức sản xuất và phát triển bền vững. Dưới hình thức tổ chức các lớp dạy nghề do các nghệ nhân có kinh nghiệm cho chị em phụ nữ đặc biệt là các chị em phụ nữ nghèo nhằm giúp nâng cao không những tay nghề dệt mà còn cho các chị em cơ hội được tiếp cận và thực hành hình thức sản xuất bền vững trong sự cân bằng của hai yếu tố môi trường ,con người để nâng cao năng lực cạnh tranh của cá nhân cũng như cho ra đời các sản phẩm đáp ứng được nhu cầu của thị trường trong và ngoài nước. Dự án cũng bao gồm việc quảng bá hình làng nghềtới du khách trong và ngoài nước dưới hình thức tổ chức các buổi giời thiệu sản phẩm và các công đoạn làm ra sản phẩm dệt tự nhiên để nâng cao giá trị cũng như sự khác biệt của sản phẩm dệt thủ công .
