KỸ NĂNG LÃNH ĐẠO TRONG KỶ NGUYÊN AI / LEADERSHIP IN THE AI AGE [English below]

Vừa qua, các cựu sinh của khóa học “Hành trình hỗ trợ phụ nữ trong vai trò lãnh đạo” (Women in Leadership Journey - WILJ) đã hội ngộ và cùng các chuyên gia Việt Nam và Australia thảo luận về hình ảnh lãnh đạo trong bối cảnh trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) tiếp tục thay đổi cách chúng ta làm việc.

Buổi thảo luận tập trung tìm hiểu về vai trò của sự đồng cảm, lòng tin và khả năng kết nối con người trong kỹ năng lãnh đạo, bên cạnh năng lực kỹ thuật. Khi công nghệ phủ sóng ngày càng rộng rãi trong môi trường làm việc, những kỹ năng mềm này giúp các nhà lãnh đạo dẫn dắt mọi người vượt qua sự thay đổi và xây dựng những đội ngũ mạnh mẽ hơn, toàn diện hơn.

Buổi thảo luận cũng là gợi nhắc rằng ngay cả trong kỷ nguyên AI, lãnh đạo hiệu quả vẫn phải giữ được tính nhân văn.

WILJ là một sáng kiến của Trung tâm Việt-Úc. Từ năm 2017, bảy khóa học đã được tổ chức, kết nối 141 nữ lãnh đạo trên khắp Việt Nam.

Alumnae of the Women in Leadership Journey (WILJ) recently joined Vietnamese and Australian experts to discuss this question and reflect on what leadership looks like as AI continues to change how we work.

The discussion explored how, alongside technical skills, qualities such as empathy, trust and the ability to connect with people continue to matter in leadership. As technology becomes a bigger part of the workplace, these human skills help leaders bring people through change and build stronger, more inclusive teams.
This workshop was a timely reminder that even in the AI era, effective leadership remains about staying human.

WILJ is an initiative of the Vietnam Australia Centre. Since 2017, seven courses have been delivered, building a network of 141 women leaders across Vietnam.

THÚC ĐẨY HỢP TÁC THÔNG QUA TRUNG TÂM VIỆT-ÚC / ADVANCING COOPERATION THROUGH THE VIETNAM AUSTRALIA CENTRE

Đại sứ Australia tại Việt Nam, bà Gillian Bird đã gặp và chúc mừng PGS TS. Đoàn Minh Huấn nhân dịp ông được bổ nhiệm làm Ủy viên Bộ Chính trị và Giám đốc Học viện Chính trị Quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh.

Cuộc gặp tái khẳng định Australia và Việt Nam luôn là những đối tác kiên định, tin cậy và bền vững trong khuôn khổ Quan hệ Đối tác Chiến lược Toàn diện, cùng hướng tới mục tiêu xây dựng khu vực hòa bình, ổn định và thịnh vượng. Thật tuyệt vời khi chứng kiến 41 cán bộ lãnh đạo tiềm năng của Việt Nam đang trau dồi các kỹ năng lãnh đạo chiến lược, hỗ trợ phát triển các thể chế khu vực công của Việt Nam trong những năm tới.

THÔNG BÁO BỔ NHIỆM QUẢN LÝ TRUNG TÂM VIỆT-ÚC / NEW VAC MANAGER APPOINTED [English below]

Trung tâm Việt – Úc (VAC) trân trọng thông báo về việc bổ nhiệm bà Nguyễn Như Quỳnh giữ chức vụ Quản lý của VAC từ tháng 3/2026.

Bà Nguyễn Như Quỳnh có hơn 10 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực phát triển quốc tế. Bắt đầu sự nghiệp trong lĩnh vực quản lý môi trường, bà đã chuyển hướng sang nâng cao năng lực cho khu vực công và xây dựng hệ sinh thái doanh nghiệp. Bà có bằng Thạc sĩ ngành quản lý kinh doanh tại Anh, Thạc sĩ ngành Nước-Môi trường tại Pháp, và Cử nhân Công nghệ kỹ thuật môi trường tại Việt Nam.

Bà Quỳnh trước đây làm việc tại UNDP từ năm 2017, bắt đầu với vai trò Cán bộ phụ trách chương trình thanh niên và sau đó là Cán bộ Đổi mới sáng tạo và công tác thanh niên. Trong 5 năm qua, bà là Cán bộ chương trình về phát triển bao trùm, điều phối các dự án quan trọng trong lĩnh vực Doanh nghiệp tạo tác động xã hội.

Trước khi công tác tại UNDP, bà Quỳnh đóng góp chuyên môn tại Trung tâm bảo tồn sinh vật biển và phát triển cộng đồng (MCD).

The Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC) welcomes Ms Nguyen Nhu Quynh as the new VAC Manager from March 2025.

Quynh brings over 10 years of experience in international development. Beginning her career in environmental management, she has more recently focused on public sector capacity building and private sector ecosystem architecture. She holds a Master’s in Business Management (Bristol, UK), a Master’s in Water-Environment (France), and a Degree in Environmental Engineering (Vietnam).

Quynh has worked for the UNDP since mid-2017. She started as a Youth Engagement Officer, later advancing to Inclusive Innovation & Youth Officer. For the past 5 years, she served as Programme Analyst on Inclusive Growth, delivering high-impact projects related to Social Impact Businesses (SIB).

Prior to her work at UNDP, Quynh also contributed her expertise to the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD).

HỖ TRỢ TỐT HƠN CHO CÁC GIA ĐÌNH THÔNG QUA KỸ NĂNG LÃNH ĐẠO HÒA NHẬP / BETTER SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES THROUGH INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

Hệ thống hỗ trợ thai sản và trẻ em của Việt Nam từ lâu đã gặp khó khăn trong việc đáp ứng nhu cầu của người lao động phi chính thức và các nhóm gia đình đa dạng. TS. Đàm Thị Vân Thoa, người dân tộc Nùng, cựu lãnh đạo Hội Phụ nữ Việt Nam, đã tham gia Hành trình hỗ trợ Phụ nữ trong Lãnh đạo - Lần 6 (WILJ6) do Trung tâm Việt-Úc thực hiện nhằm góp phần giải quyết những thách thức này và thúc đẩy tư duy hòa nhập hơn.

Trong hơn 9 tháng, TS. Thoa đã tham gia các hội thảo và hoạt động trao đổi tri thức tại Việt Nam và Australia, qua đó giúp bà hiểu sâu hơn về bình đẳng giới, khuyết tật và hòa nhập xã hội. Với sự hướng dẫn của GS. Linley Lord, Cựu Phó Hiệu trưởng kiêm Chủ tịch Trường Đại học Curtin Singapore, bà đã rà soát các chính sách thai sản của Việt Nam và đưa ra khuyến nghị cho chính phủ nhằm mở rộng quyền lợi, thúc đẩy chia sẻ nghĩa vụ chăm sóc con cái giữa vợ và chồng, đồng thời điều chỉnh hỗ trợ phù hợp với những nhu cầu khác nhau của các gia đình.

Nỗ lực của bà đã đóng góp rất nhiều cho việc sửa đổi Luật Bảo hiểm Xã hội, có hiệu lực từ tháng 07/2025. Bà nhấn mạnh: “Đây không chỉ là hành trình học hỏi từ các chuyên gia mà còn là hành trình chia sẻ và cùng nhau phát triển”.

TS. Thoa hiện tham gia giảng dạy, chia sẽ về những kết quả về bình đẳng giới, lồng ghép vấn đề bình đẳng giới trong xây dựng chính sách, pháp luật ở một số lĩnh vực như tham chính, xã hội, gia đình v.v. tại Học viện Chính trị khu vực I và ở một số bộ ngành, địa phương, doanh nghiệp; đồng thời hướng dẫn các lãnh đạo trẻ là học viên của khóa WILJ tiếp theo.

Hành trình của bà cho thấy kinh nghiệm thực tế, kết hợp với phát triển kỹ năng lãnh đạo chiến lược, có thể giúp định hình những hệ thống hỗ trợ hòa nhập hơn cho phụ nữ, hướng tới bình đẳng giới thực chất ở Việt Nam.

Vietnam’s maternity and child support systems have long struggled to meet the needs of informal workers and diverse families. Dr Dam Thi Van Thoa, a Nung ethnic minority woman and former leader at the Vietnam Women’s Union, used her participation in the sixth cohort of Women in Leadership Journey (WILJ6), supported by the Vietnam Australia Centre, to help address these gaps and promote more inclusive thinking.

Over nine months, Dr Thoa took part in workshops and study visits across Vietnam and Australia, deepening her understanding of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion. With mentoring from Professor Linley Lord, Former Pro Vice-Chancellor and President of Curtin Singapore, she reviewed Vietnam’s maternity policies and developed recommendations for the government to expand benefits, promote shared caregiving, and tailor support to different family needs.

Her work contributed to amendments to the Law on Social Insurance, which took effect in July 2025.“It’s not just about learning from experts,” she said, “but also sharing and growing together.”

Dr Thoa now lectures on Gender Equality as well as on integrating gender equality considerations into the development of policies and legislation in several fields such as political participation, society, and family, etc., at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Region I. She has mentored emerging leaders through the next cohort of WILJ. Her journey shows how live experience, paired with strategic leadership development, can help shape more inclusive systems for women and families across Vietnam.
