Chasing golden hour on the roofs of Paris

I haven’t been able to catch a sunset like this in a while. So to be able to capture it in Paris looking over at the Eiffel Tower was the perfect moment. I stayed up here for an hour just watching this cloud formation roll in, in complete peace.

The 10 best places to photograph the Eiffel Tower. When you visit Paris, it is obviously essential to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Here are the best places to capture the Iron Lady.

1. Rue de l'université: this is the most popular spot. Our advice: come very early or very late to take pictures with more tranquility.

2. From the square Rapp. Away from the touristic hustle and bustle of the neighborhood, this little impasse offers a superb view of the Eiffel Tower wedged between two magnificent Haussmannian buildings.

3. The Trocadero carousel with its vintage style is the most beautiful carousel in Paris. This spot will bring a romantic touch to your shots.

4. Pont de Iéna, located between the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero, this bridge is best done at night or at sunset.

5. Esplanade du Trocadero. This is the historical spot. If there are too many people on the esplanade, take pictures from the steps.

6. Avenue de Camoens. This small, quiet, bourgeois street has become in a few years the meeting point of fashionistas from all over the world.

7. Bir Hakeim Bridge. Popularized by the movie Inception, this spot is never saturated because it is so big.

8. Esplanade du Champs de Mars. Ideal in the morning when it's not too crowded.

9. Rue Saint Dominique. This spot presents a dream setting with two Parisian icons in the same decor: a typical café and the Eiffel Tower

10. Pont Alexandre III. What better way to combine the beauty of the most beautiful bridge in Paris with the Eiffel Tower
