Catalyst for Change Vietnam - C4C Coins for Change (C4C) is a non-profit social enterprise that aids disenfranchised women and children throughout Vietnam.

Catalyst for Change (C4C) is a not-profit social enterprise that creates positive impact on Vietnamese children and women, through educational volunteerism, cultural immersion and empowerment. Our mission is to empower women with skills and resources to overcome social and economic challenges and to pursue opportunities. Our programs serve urban and rural families through educational and business

support. With a focus on serving marginalized women such as low-income women, ethnic minorities, women in rural areas, domestic violence survivors, single mothers, and disabled women, we help remove the obstacles that prevent these disadvantaged groups from achieving success and gender equality within their communities and within Vietnam. Through our educational and business campaigns, we offer free vocational training, job placement, free and low-cost English classes for women and children, online and offline support groups, mental health awareness, business support, and online lessons. Our campaigns focus on building life skills and providing training that increases independence and fair opportunities. Officially established in December 2015, C4C now offers a wide range of services related to education and business within Vietnam through two programs:

1) Teach for Change connects international English teaching volunteers with our partner schools and English centers. In alignment with the women-empowering mission of Coins for Change–TFC’s founder organization–we focus on supporting female-led schools and English centers across Vietnam. Through this program, we are able to provide English language services to women and children across Vietnam, particularly those in the countryside, who would otherwise not have access to them. Teach for Change offers them free or low-cost access to English classes and other educational enhancement and literacy programs.

2) The Empowerment Plan aims to support disadvantaged women from multiple demographics in Vietnam, including low-income women, single mothers, disabled women, ethnic minority women, domestic violence victims, and others. Coins for Change provides holistic support to women through an expansive online network, free vocational training, job placement, online and offline support groups, business opportunities, and free or low-cost English classes for their children.

This weekend at HerSpace, we slowed down to meet our future selves.

Through our Vision Board Workshop, participants took time to reflect on where they are, imagine where they want to be, and turn those thoughts into something they could see and hold.

From dreams and goals to small details that carry personal meaning, every vision board told a different story - and gave each person a little more space to understand themselves and the future they want to create.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared openly, and made this afternoon so meaningful.

What happens when culture becomes a way to connect?

Last weekend, our Connect Through Culture Workshop brought young women together to practise English, discover British culture, and most importantly, connect with one another.

From making afternoon tea and baking together to sharing stories and conversations, English became more than something to practise - it became a bridge between different people, cultures, and perspectives.

At HerSpace, we believe connection can begin with something as simple as learning, sharing, and trying something new together.

Some goodbyes are difficult because the time together meant so much.

Throughout their journey in Vietnam, the eYAA Youth Volunteers experienced HerSpace in many different ways. They found stillness through yoga, shared the flavours and stories of their home countries through cooking and turned seashells into handmade crafts alongside the women of our community.

They also stepped into classrooms - first observing and learning from Montessori teachers, then building connections and sharing joyful moments with the children. Beyond every activity, they listened, exchanged stories and discovered how meaningful connections can grow through even the simplest experiences.

Thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity and kindness into every moment. We hope you leave Vietnam with more than photographs and souvenirs, but with memories of the people and communities that became part of your journey.

Farewell, eYAA Youth Volunteers. This chapter may have come to an end, but the connections created here will continue far beyond HerSpace. Wherever you go next, our doors will always be open for you.

Some of the best learning happens when children are free to explore.

For the eYAA Youth Volunteers, another day with the children at Carem Montessori moved beyond the classroom and into a space filled with colours, textures, nature and curiosity.

Rather than showing children exactly what to do, the activities gave them room to touch, create, experiment and discover in their own way. Alongside them, the volunteers experienced a simple but important lesson too: sometimes, supporting a child’s learning means knowing when to guide - and when to simply let them explore.

At Catalyst for Change, we believe meaningful learning does not always begin with an answer. Sometimes, it begins with the freedom to discover.

After spending time getting to know the children, the eYAA Youth Volunteers were finally ready to step into the classroom as teachers.

The first lesson was more than teaching English. Through songs, games and interactive activities, the volunteers created a space where children felt confident to participate, ask questions and learn together. Every smile, raised hand and shared moment reflected the trust they had built during their first meeting. What began as simple introductions had now grown into a classroom filled with curiosity, laughter and connection.

At Catalyst for Change, education is never just about delivering lessons. It is about creating relationships where children feel encouraged to learn, explore and believe in themselves.

Crafting has a way of slowing people down - just enough for conversations, laughter and connections to begin.

Last Saturday, HerSpace welcomed participants to another Crafting Workshop, where creativity became a language everyone could share.

Throughout the afternoon, simple materials gradually turned into unique handmade creations. Around the table, stories were exchanged, laughter came naturally, and new friendships quietly took shape.

While everyone created something different, they all shared one experience: the joy of making something together.

Sometimes, the simplest things create the strongest connections.

Later that day, the eYAA Youth Volunteers joined a craft-making workshop, transforming seashells from Danang’s coastline into handmade keepsakes alongside the women of the HerSpace community.

More than a creative activity, the workshop celebrated the skills and creativity of local women. By sharing their knowledge through HerSpace Experiences, they create meaningful connections while building opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

Sometimes, a handful of seashells becomes more than a souvenir. It becomes a reminder that creating something together can bring people closer.
