🐾 The Gentle “Wake-Up Call”
Post-op recovery and discharge isn’t just a department in our campaign—it’s the heart of our promise to every pet.

When surgery is over, the real TLC begins. We treat these precious animals like our own, watching over them closely as they snooze their way back to reality. Our goal? A “smooth landing” where they wake up feeling safe, cozy, and pain-free. No scary wake-ups allowed on our watch!

One incredible mission 🐾💚

Our 2026 VVI Free Spay & Neuter clinic wrapped up last weekend on St. Croix—and wow, did this community show up!

This powerhouse all-female team provided life-changing care to 214 cats and dogs, plus additional medical services, microchips, dewormer, and more.

Huge shoutout to Real Cruzan Cats for trapping 80+ cats and helping stop the cycle—fewer litters, brighter futures 🐈‍⬛

To our St. Croix Animal Welfare Center volunteers: YOU are the heartbeat of this effort. From check-in to recovery (and all the messy moments in between), you made it happen.

The VVI crew is officially back on home soil! 🏠

It turns out Mother Nature didn’t just have an attitude this weekend—she had a full-on identity crisis. Our team didn’t just travel; we completed a multi-sport endurance event that nobody signed up for.

The “VVI Great Escape” Stats:

Flight Status: ❌ Cancelled, ⏳ Delayed, ✈️ “Maybe in your dreams.”

Accommodations: Luxury airport floor tiling (highly rated for spinal alignment).

Weather Conditions: Tornado warnings, hail, and snow. Basically, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse decided to carpool.

Current Vibe: Heavily caffeinated and slightly traumatized.

We aren’t saying Mother Nature was “not having it,” but we’re pretty sure she’s seen our travel itinerary and took it personally.

Huge shoutout to the team for surviving the trek home. If anyone needs us, we’ll be under a weighted blanket for the next 48 hours. No sudden movements, please. 🧊⛈️🌪️

We continue to be so grateful to all our volunteers, supporters, and the for a successful campaign. We already miss all the new and old friends we have made over the years.. we can’t wait to see everyone again!

Today we wrapped up another successful campaign with St Croix Animal Welfare Center. Once again we have loved our time here working with them, the community volunteers and all of our wonderful VVI volunteers. These spay/neuter campaigns help the animals, community and enrich our souls. Thank you for again for this amazing trip!

Day three! More surgery and teamwork. This group knows how to work together in a cohesive productive manner.

Day two brought more dogs and cats spayed and neutered along with many laughs and hard work. Our team along with local volunteers and St Croix Animal Welfare Center volunteers continue to impress and inspire us.

First day was a success…55 animals spayed/neutered with one eye removal as well!

Our entire team worked cohesively to rock the day out. We look forward to day two tomorrow!
