💛❤️💚 Honoring 178 Years of Freedom 💛❤️💚

Today, we proudly commemorate the 178th Virgin Islands Emancipation, honoring the courage and resilience of the 9,000 enslaved Africans on St. Croix who, under the leadership of General Buddhoe, demanded and secured their freedom on July 3, 1848.

As we celebrate our rich history, vibrant culture, and enduring legacy, let us continue to educate, uplift, and inspire future generations.

Freedom was won. The legacy lives on.
