💙 Today, we honor and celebrate Juneteenth, recognizing the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the enduring spirit of freedom. We are especially proud of our beloved Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose tireless advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federal holiday.

In her honor, we walked 2.5 miles through Freedom City, Frederiksted, sharing stories, laughter, encouragement, and even a quick game of Punchinella along the way!

As a chapter, we are extremely proud of these young ladies. They continue to exemplify and represent the principles of our illustrious organization through their actions, leadership, scholarship, and service. Their dedication, poise, and commitment are a reflection of the guidance, encouragement, and support they received. Pictured are Tale’Nysha Constance and Cassanell Bannis.

For the upcoming year, we will continue to pour into our youth auxiliaries and inspire them to strive for excellence. They are truly making us proud and leaving a legacy that embodies the very best of who we are. The Archonettes program is for high school girls ages 14-18. Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting, respecting, and advocating for our elders. Their wisdom is our foundation, their experiences are our guide, and their dignity is our responsibility.

For more than 10 years, the Nu Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has proudly adopted Sunny Isles Housing, building meaningful relationships with residents through educational presentations, engaging activities, fellowship, and community service. Over the years, we have remained committed to enriching the lives of our seniors while honoring their contributions to our community.

Together, let us stand against elder abuse and work to ensure that every senior is treated with the care, respect, and compassion they deserve. 💜
