It’s day one of the St. Croix Orchid Society Group trip to Pennsylvania. The group of 18 members will be staying 5 nights in Chads Ford, PA and 2 nights in Philadelphia.

The group will visit numerous Pennsylvania and Delaware public gardens including Longwood, Winterthur, Chantacler, Stoneleigh and others. The group will also visit the Little Brook Orchid Greenhouses in Lancaster, PA. While at Longwood the members will be treated to a private tour of their ‘backroom’ orchid greenhouses that will be hosted by Greg Griffis, horticulturist and orchid grower at Longwood.

The 52nd Annual Orchid Show and sale will be going on Sunday, February 25 from 9am to 3pm. Still orchids and more for sale. Plus, if you’re around for the Raffle drawing around 2:30, you get to pick out your prize!
The orchids are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit!
