Lacrosse in this region has a big week ahead.

The Pan-American Men's Field Lacrosse Championship Qualifier opens tomorrow in Kingston, Jamaica — August 16 through 23, hosted by the Jamaica Lacrosse Association. Opening ceremonies and the first match are Monday.

Here's why it matters to anyone following the international pathway: this is a qualifying tournament for the 2027 World Championship in Japan. The programmes that come through Kingston are the ones that get there.

Good luck to everyone taking the field this week.
