St. Croix Lion's Club The St. Croix Lions Club is a non-profit organization whose main function is to serve the community. This is the longest running program in the U.S.

The St Croix Lions Club was chartered on November 1, 1966. The Club came into being through the efforts of Lion Ray Stiffler. The first meeting was held at his home in Golden Rock, Christiansted. Two weeks later, Ken Linguist was ins

talled as the first President of the St Croix Lions Club. The information of a Senior Citizens Committee was brought into existence by the President. The committee took on the project of visiting the residents of the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged on the last Saturday of each month. Members served beverages and cakes to the residents, and a birthday gift was presented to each resident who celebrated a birthday that month. Virgin Islands. Today this project is still being conducted. The mothers and fathers at the Home are treated to a mother’s and father’s day celebration, also a Christmas party with gift giving and carol singing is now the norm.
