The discussion on Virgin Islands culture held earlier this month, with historians Louise Sebro and Karen Sivebaek Munk is being repeated on Zoom, on February 28th at 10am. Registration is required. See the QR code in the flyer to register. Sebro and Munk are among Denmark's leading experts in Danish West Indies history and have years of experience working with history, and in Danish museums. They are conducting research on cultural heritage and preservation in the USVI. Attend this Zoom event and join the discussion. Your input will help inform their research. Their report will be available in the fall of 2026, in English and Danish.

Louise Sebro and Karen Sivebæk Munk, both historians and museum curators from Denmark, recently led a discussion on Virgin Islands culture and cultural preservation at the Caribbean Genealogy Library. Thank you to the presenters, and to the audience for participating. The conversations included music, literature, language, sense of community, religious acceptance, importance of education, art, dance and more.

The history of Charlotte Amalia, between 1803 and 1823, will be the focus of the presentation at the Caribbean Genealogy Library's annual meeting on February 1st at 2pm. In addition to lists of people living in the town, Dr. Aimery Caron will discuss the history of the period, including information on the British takeover of the Danish West Indies between 1807 and 1815.
