Oh, the treasures you can find at the Humane Society of St. Thomas Thrift Store! 😍

Take a look at this beautiful piece of history!

Long before the cookie jars we know and love today, homes often had something called a biscuit barrel. These beautiful glass containers were especially popular during the Victorian era and were used to store and serve biscuits, cookies, and sweet little treats. 🍬

And weren’t they fancy?!

Just look at the beautiful details in this one! The patterned glass, decorative lid, and metal handle make it such a lovely little treasure.

Now imagine giving this beauty a second life! ❤️

Oh, the things you find at the Humane Society of St. Thomas Thrift Store! 😂

Today, while wandering through our shelves of treasures, I stumbled upon TWO pretty cool pieces that made me stop and smile!

🎸 FIRST UP… HARD ROCK CAFE ST. THOMAS!

Wait a minute… did you know St. Thomas once had its very own Hard Rock Cafe?!

That’s right! It opened on December 17, 1992, overlooking the Charlotte Amalie waterfront, and closed on April 23, 2005.

That’s over 21 years ago, friends!

And somehow, this little Hard Rock Cafe St. Thomas shot glass has survived all these years and found its way onto our thrift store shelves!

How cool is THAT?!

🥃 NEXT UP… JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK LABEL!

Check out this old-school black ashtray advertising Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Wh**ky!

Now THAT looks like something you’d have found sitting on the bar back in the day! 😂

I can’t help but wonder how many conversations, laughs, and stories a piece like this might have been around!
