Steve Wills is Maritime Search and Rescue Specialist at the International Maritime Rescue Federation and one of a host of speakers who will present at the ILS Flood Course to be held at The World Conference on Drowning Prevention from 18-19 November 2025.
"Unlike coastal or open water rescues, flood environments present unique hazards - swift currents, submerged debris, contamination, and unstable terrain. Responders need specialised training and equipment to operate safely and effectively. This course equips them with the knowledge and confidence to adapt their existing expertise to complex flood scenarios, enhancing both personal safety and operational impact," Wills said.
