When reviewing over 500 responses from the Branding Boone survey, one theme stood out: Sustainability 🌱
In Boone, sustainability isn’t just a concept. It is a way of life. From supporting local food to protecting our mountains and rivers, environmental stewardship is part of who we are.
Here is how the Town of Boone is putting sustainability into action:

♻️ Municipal operations powered by renewable energy
🚫 Reducing single-use plastics in town facilities
🚗 Developing a plan to transition away from gas-powered vehicles
📋 Implementing the Boone Community Climate Action Plan
🎯 Working toward carbon neutrality by 2050

And we are just getting started!

Our new Sustainability Story Badge reflects this commitment. It features bright colors that represent Boone’s vibrant, sustainable future. You will see this badge highlighting the work we are doing to keep Boone beautiful.
More Story Badges are coming soon, so stay tuned!
