6th ANNUAL SENIOR SALUTE TO HONOR BOONE GRADUATES
The BCSS (Boone County Senior Salute) will honor 2026 Boone County Indiana high school graduates who have chosen to serve their country at the 6th Annual BCSS on Sunday, May 17, 1:00-3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 79 in Zionsville.
“Our mission is to recognize the courage and commitment of high school graduates committed to serve our country” says Dr. Matt Weinheimer, BCSS Board Chair and US Navy veteran. Dr. Weinheimer was inspired by a similar program years ago in his hometown of Sullivan, Indiana. Weinheimer, started this organization along with Dr. Jim Haines, founder of Zionsville Eyecare and also a US Navy veteran.
Dr. Haines adds “Students who become accomplished in their careers as doctors, lawyers, engineers and sports stars are celebrated, yet those who have stepped up to serve our country too often are not ”.
Any Boone County Indiana high school senior graduating this year and enlisting in the military, joining a ROTC program or attending a service academy who are interested to be honored can contact Weinheimer at [email protected]
Deadline for submission is Friday April 24, 2026.
