🥾 Hiking Club recap + new trail alert!

Last month, the ILADD Hiking Club explored the Wabash Heritage Trail in Tippecanoe County, hiking along the Wabash River and Heron Island and through a beautiful grove of old-growth hardwoods. The wooded, sandy trail made for a scenic summer adventure!

→ Next up, we’re heading somewhere new! Join us Sunday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m. as we explore the Tall Timbers Trail at Big Walnut Nature Preserve in Putnam County for the first time.
We’re looking forward to fresh scenery, time outdoors, and another great afternoon of hiking together.

🏡✂️ A Dream Years in the Making is Now a Reality!

Last week, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of ILADD's Learning Home at Crossbridge Point—a milestone that represents so much more than the opening of a building.

The Learning Home will provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to gain the practical skills and confidence needed to live as independently as possible. From cooking and budgeting to household management, safety, and daily living skills, this space will help transform dreams of independence into reality.

This celebration marks another exciting step forward in our vision for Crossbridge Point—an inclusive neighborhood where adults with disabilities can live in homes of their own, build meaningful relationships, and thrive within a supportive community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and to the donors, partners, volunteers, and advocates who have helped make this vision possible.

As we celebrate this incredible achievement, our work continues. We are now in the public phase of our Bridges to Independence Capital Campaign, with $400,000 remaining to complete our $3.2 million goal—and thanks to a generous donor, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000.

Together, we're not just building homes—we're creating opportunities, independence, and brighter futures.
