To serve our country in peace as in war; to build & maintain the welfare of the United States of America toward lasting prosperity & peace for all its inhabitants. To encourage, in keeping with the policies of our Government, the establishment of a concrete plan to secure permanent international peace & to assist in the maintenance of international peace. To inspire in our membership a sense of re

sponsibility & to develop leadership of our American democratic way of life. To become a member of the Ladies Auxiliary you must be related to a member of an American Veteran who have honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the National Guard & Reserve components, anytime after September 15 1940 or related to a deceased veteran who could have been eligible for membership by presenting a DD214 of Honorary Discharge. The specific relations are you must be: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister or Granddaughter.
