🇰🇭 So much movement and progress in Cambodia!

September brought some exciting milestones as God continued to open doors for One 17’s work in Cambodia.

He provided the third and final member of the founding team for the nonprofit we’re establishing. We’re also finalizing a partnership with a local church to provide faith formation programming and are closing in on a lease for a house where One 17’s first stand-alone program will launch in the next 6–10 weeks!

Praise God for progress. 🙌

We can’t wait to welcome students who need greater access to education and the Gospel into loving, Christ-centered environments.

The next chapter is taking shape—and we’re grateful to be part of what God is doing in Cambodia.

📚 Students are back in the classroom in Haiti!

From kindergarten through 11th grade (NS3), our students in Haiti are learning, growing, connecting, reading, writing, adding, problem-solving, singing, dancing, playing, and creating.

What a blessing! ❤️

We’re operating as a consolidated campus while we continue navigating instability around our second campus. Yet we consider it pure joy to serve students at our original location.

It’s all grace. Every day is a gift.

❤️ LOVE IN ACTION

A school that stayed open.

A staff that kept showing up.

Children who were cared for through difficult circumstances.

Villages reached with the Gospel.

Relationships that became the foundation for future ministry.

Churches that sent teams.

Donors who gave generously.

This is what Love in Action looked like during the 2025–26 ministry year.

And we're just getting started.

🇰🇭 LOVE IN ACTION: PLANTING SEEDS

In Cambodia, Love in Action looked like going.

Going into villages.
Meeting families.
Sharing the Gospel.
Building relationships.
Listening.
Learning.
Dreaming about what could be.

Last year, we began laying the foundation for future programming in the communities where we hope to establish a school.
And we didn't do it alone.

One of our church partners sent a mission team to serve children and moms through camps and village outreach.

The seeds are being planted. We can't wait to see what God grows. 🌱

🇭🇹 LOVE IN ACTION: CARING FOR THE WHOLE CHILD

Sometimes education looks like a classroom.

Sometimes it looks like sitting beside a child who is hurting.

Last year, our Student Care Department walked alongside students experiencing trauma, medical challenges, accidents, and the loss of parents.

They advocated for children when they couldn't advocate for themselves.

Because at One 17, we don't just care about what students learn.

We care about who they are. ❤️

🇭🇹 LOVE IN ACTION: PERSEVERANCE

Last year in Haiti, love looked like showing up.

Through leadership transitions, security challenges, uncertainty, and countless obstacles, our Haitian staff continued to fight for our students.

They taught. They served. They encouraged. They adapted.

They kept showing up because they believe our students are worth it.

That is Love in Action. ❤️

❤️ LOVE IN ACTION

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer…” — Romans 12:12

That was our theme for the 2025–26 ministry year: Love in Action.

And as we look back, we see that theme woven through every part of the One 17 story.

In Haiti, our team persevered through extraordinary challenges to keep serving students. In Cambodia, relationships were built, and the foundation was laid for future ministry. And on the Stateside side, donors gave generously and sacrificially to make Hope through Education possible.

Over the next few weeks, we want to celebrate some of the ways we saw Love in Action this year.

Because love isn't just something we believe.

Love is something we do. ❤️

Every child deserves someone who sees them, believes in them, and walks alongside them.

At One 17 International’s schools in Haiti, our Student Care team provides support, encouragement, prayer, and guidance to hundreds of students each year.

Behind every number is a child with a story and a team committed to reminding them they are loved and valued.

Because sometimes, it takes one caring adult to make a lasting difference.
