Perhaps you can help with Hope Rising International:

Friends, I know this is the time of year when we decorate our homes for the holidays. We like things to look all festive and beautiful when we welcome family members in for parties and get-togethers. Did you know some people are not celebrating at all right now?

They are cleaning up from a tropical disturbance which caused major flooding and loss of belongings in parts of the Dominican Republic. Some of the region’s most vulnerable families who had next to nothing, now have nothing at all. They need help with food kits, hygiene kits, and other emergency supplies.

Hi. Friends,
Would you pray with us for the families affected by Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic? Many poor families have lost the few resources they call their own. Destruction abounds and the vulnerable ones are left feeling more vulnerable still. Our hearts ache for the elderly and the children who are especially affected by these disasters. Pray for those who are seeking to assist the marginalized. May God bless them with wisdom and strength for the days ahead.

Hope Rising International would like to thank every student, teacher, parent, and sponsor who worked hard to make this present school year a successful one. Although many times we were filled with doubts and anxieties, with the help of God we were able to continue forward. We thank the Lord for our partners and for His grace. We are thankful for staff people who take time to recognize abilities in each of the kids.

Friends, we invite you to pray with us concerning the on-going COVID-19 crisis in the Dominican Republic. Our ministry associates there have been battling illness for the past two weeks after testing positive and being quarantined to their homes. The socio-economic effects of the virus also continue to be felt and experienced as many people are without employment and do not have access to resources they vitally need.
