2026 PASSPORT TO THE PAST
A Celebration of Pike County

Take a step back in time and join the Pike County Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, November 7th, from 3:00–9:00 PM in historic Concord, as we celebrate the people, places, and stories that have shaped our community.

We are honored to have Mr. John Strickland assisting with this year's historical experience. With family roots in Concord spanning generations, Mr. Strickland brings a wealth of local knowledge and a personal connection to the town's rich heritage!

Guests will have the opportunity to step back in time aboard a guided trolley tour, exploring the historic streets of Concord while learning about the families, landmarks, and traditions that have helped define this charming community.

In addition to our historical tours, visitors can enjoy music, food trucks, and a special local pimento cheese taste off celebrating a beloved Southern tradition! (please reach out if you would like to enter)

🦅🏈 Pike County has its Golden Eagle! 🏈🦅

The Flint River Council asked us to nominate a local Pike County resident who is truly worthy of the Golden Eagle Award, and there was no question about who our nominee should be.

It was unanimous. Coach Stephen Holmes is our Golden Eagle!!!🦅

In true homecoming fashion, we surprised Coach Holmes last week and asked him to accept the honor, with a little help from the First Lady of Football herself! (And yes she brought her cowbell!!) ❤️🏈

Coach Holmes goes above and beyond for our community. He’s up before the sun, putting in the work, pouring into our young people, the fields and making an impact throughout our county, our school system and even our county recreation department.

He inspires us all, and his dedication does not go unnoticed!!

🌟 L.E.A.D is officially underway! 🌟

Last week we kicked off our LEAD Program with our incredible group of local high school students. We can’t wait for you to meet our Junior Ambassadors!

We started our first breakfast with former Georgia State Representative and current District 3 County Commissioner joining us to share his experience and give our students a closer look at leadership and public service.

Our Junior Ambassadors learned more about what a Chamber of Commerce does, the role we play in our community, and just how much impact they can make right here at home.

And this is just the beginning! 💙

We’re excited to dive deeper with this group each month, introduce them to local leaders and businesses throughout Pike County, and most importantly, learn what it means to LEAD!

Here’s to the next generation! 👏✨
